I was a little disappointed that the photos of the room on here didn't match the room we stayed in. The beds were comfortable and clean, so we were happy enough. The dinner was lovely. Service was great.

A bit old and run down, but given the price it was ok. Bed was comfortable, staff pleasant, but this is in an isolated part of the country.

The property has surpassed its prime and needs major upgrades. Water tastes/smells off, no tv, tiles in bathrooms worn/cracked, wiring needs update,

Dear Anonymous,
Thanks for taking the time to make us aware of the issues you had during your stay with us - we do appreciate them.
We aware of a few of your concerns and we actually are working very hard to rectify and amend many of this historic hotel's facilities, however, it is a constant struggle to find qualified tradespeople due to our remote location here in the outback, but we are trying very hard to make the hotel 'grand' again.
We are a little perplexed why you state 'no tv' as all of our rooms have tv and airconditioning; if you had brought this to our attention, it would have been easily rectified. We are however at the mercy in our outback area with always having a 100% television signal coverage, due to atmospheric conditions and our remoteness to transmission towers, although they are usually pretty good, although not as good as a capital city. Again, if you had mentioned this to us, we may have been able to help you.
Cunnamulla's water supply, as with a great deal of Australian country towns and regions, all comes from the Great Artesian Bore - an underground water supply. This bore water can have an odour from time to time, again this is out of our control as it would be elsewhere in other regions. If you had sensitivity to our only water supply, we could have supplied you with bottled water if you had asked us.
Our hotel is clearly listed as 2.5 stars, and we love to offer our guests safe, clean and budget rooms at a price point which is roughly 50% less than comparable accommodation in our town. We are in Cunnamulla, not the Champs de Elysee or Monte Carlo.
We wish you well in your further travels
Kind Regards
Hotel Cunnamulla.
