Charming farmhouse with private pool

We bought #13 after falling in love with Le Marche, the charm of Cupramontana and the tranquil setting of the house.

The intervening years have seen a gradual renovation and sympathetic restoration celebrating the traditional and beautiful architecture of an Italian stone farmhouse.
It’s not all been work! We love exploring the regions of Le Marche, Umbria and Emilia-Romagna.

The surrounding countryside, in which this charming old farmhouse sits, is defined by this wonderful Verdicchio wine region.
After a day of exploration in the mountains, coastline or any of the numerous medieval towns cool off in the pool and relax in the garden.

There are 2 dining areas - we prefer breakfast at the front of the house before moving to the pergola, with its shade provided by the vines & cherry trees, for lunch and dinner. A BBQ is provided to complete the al fresco experience.

The house is well-equipped to ensure your stay is as stress free as possible. Upon arrival you will be met by an English couple who have lived locally for a number of years and who will help you settle in.

Authentique et calme
Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par Julia et John qui ont par ailleurs été très disponibles tout au long de notre séjour. La maison est parfaitement adaptée pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis avec de belles pièces à vivre et une piscine très agréable. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié les espaces extérieurs et notamment la pergola. Calme et dépaysement garantis et point de départ pour de belles visites de la région. Suggestions: Ajouter un grille pain aux équipements et des moustiquaires sur les fenêtres non pourvues des chambres de l'étage. Les ventilateurs dans les chambres ont été appréciés.

Very nice quietly situated house in a great location
The house is really nice, the pool is great and the location is fantastic. We, two families with teenagers, really enjoyed our stay. We recommend the beaches south of Ancona, especially around Sirolo, it's a bit of a drive but well worth it.

Wonderful
Such a relaxing break. We spent most mornings visiting one of the many towns within a short drive, then the afternoon by the pool and the evening either in Jesi or at the house on the outside terrace. An easy drive to the coast, to a fresh water lake, vineyards. Simply wonderful area. The house had everything we needed, incl well equipped kitchen. No complaints at all.

Fantastisch
We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad. We zijn zeer gastvrij ontvangen door John en Julia. Ze waren zeer behulpzaam. Het huis is groter dan de foto's laten zien en ligt heerlijk rustig. Het huis is voorzien van alle gemakken met speelgoed voor de kinderen en veel boeken.. De wasmachine is niet groot, maar wel heel fijn dat we hier gebruik van konden maken. Cupramontana ligt op nog geen 10 minuten rijden en daar vind je de leukste restaurants en een heerlijke gelateria. Ook voor het eerst in contact met de Italiaanse schorpioen. Is relatief ongevaarlijk. Al met al een heerlijke vakantie.

bijzondere boerderij tussen de heuvels
De ruime boerderij ligt op een locatie aan een strada biancha met wat uitdagende en steile haarspeldbochten. Dat maakt het tot een bijzondere plek. Er is veel ruimte in het huis. We waren met drie volwassenen, maar 8 kunnen er gemakkelijk in. De ontvangst en de dagelijkse contacten met John en Julia verliepen prima; altijd tot service bereid. Al met al hebben we een prima vakantie doorgebracht in het huis en in de Marche. Kleine aandachtspunten zijn de vrij kleine buitenruimte met steil aflopende randen (met kleine kinderen een aandachtspunt) en de wat verouderde badkamers (deze verdienen wel een upgrade).

Hausvin den Marken mitten in den Bergen
Bis auf die Anfahrt zum Haus kann ich nur Positives berichten. Ein wunderschönes altes Landhaus in den Bergen, in dem man sich frei und unbeobachtet fühlt. Die Orte drumherum sind mit auto gut zu erreichen und auch die Strände sind nach ca 50 Minuten Fahrt fantastisch. Unter Corona- Bedingungen war es eher nicht so voll, was den Urlaub noch schöner gemacht hat.

Perfect location and wonderful holiday
We have had a very nice 11 day holiday and like the house and place very much. Julia and John awaited us and took us down the last mile..that is a challenging one for the first time but you get used quickly. Pool is lovely and well kept by John. We loved the area and the many great places and restaurants. Thanks Diane and family.

Sehr idyllisch und erholsam...
Wir haben uns in dem Haus gleich wohl gefühlt und der tolle Pool wurde sowohl von den Kindern als auch uns gern genutzt. Wir haben gemütliche Abende auf den tollen Terrassen gehabt. Man braucht nur einen kleinen Koffer mit Klamotten, da man es ohne Probleme den ganzen Tag am Pool aushält und es leider nicht so viele Schränke gibt, wir haben aus den Koffern zum Teil gelebt. Nicht optimal war für uns, dass die beiden Bäder nicht gleichwertig waren und das kleine Bad keine verschließbare Tür hatte. Ansonsten durften wir Bekanntschaft mit Skorpionen machen, etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig aber sie waren sehr friedlich . Das Haus ist außerhalb des Ortes so dass man auf sein Auto angewiesen ist. Aber wer die Ruhe liebt wird sich dort auf jeden Fall wohlfühlen!

Ein wunderbarer Ort....
inmitten der Natur und mit phantastischem Blick. Das liebevoll eingerichtete Haus garantiert erholsame Ferien. Auch die Stunden am Pool haben wier sehr genossen. Die Umgebung bietet alles, was das Herz begehrt: Strände und einsame Berge für tolle Wanderungen, fröhliche Menschen... dolce vita. Danke für diese schönen Ferien!

Location, location, location
What a wonderful property, set in the rolling fields and woodlands of rural Marche with a real feel of rural Italy. Every window has a view and every view brings calm and peace. The house has a lovely atmosphere whether inside or out, enhanced by traditional materials and features. The pool, so ably maintained by the affable Tony & Lesley, was our saviour when the mercury hit 39, the waters cooling everything off with a smile, along with a G&T or two. Cupramontana is the local town, providing excellent opportunities for shopping, dining or having a beer and watching the world go by as you throw a peanut or two down. If you get a chance, get out on those backroads especially over Urbino way, where you will find castles, palaces, churches & cathedrals. It is a wonderful holiday when 2 weeks is simply not enough.

Fantastic and beautyfull house on the countryside
We had 14 wonderfull days in fam. Ivers house beginning july 2017. It was fantastic :o) We were 5 adults and 3 children enjoying the pool, the local market, the local wineyards ( mainly White Wine) and restaurants. Food and wine for very fair prices. A good 5 ltr. Local bottle of Wine for €9! The beaches are around 40 min. away, We sent to Senigallia, a beautyfull beach with perfect conditions for children. The local landlords, Tony & Lesley (GB) took care of everything, the pool etc. - and always avaliable If needed. Their kindness and service made every our stay very comfortable. What a wonderful house and what a beautiful location. A lovely place to get away from it all!
We have just returned from 2 weeks in Cupramontana and have had a wonderful time. The house is full of character and has everything you need. It has the most amazing views. Very peaceful. The children particularly enjoyed using the pool. We also made use of Diana and Brendan's dvd collection some evenings in their comfortable lounge. The town is only a short drive away and has a number of good restaurants - a lovely, friendly place to wander around. The children's favourite places were Cafe Ruggero (ice creams) and Ristorante Gina (pizza). Lesley and Tony, who look after the house were amazing. Incredibly helpful. We had a flat tyre and not only did they help change the spare, but they insisted on coming to the local garage to help us buy a replacement (our Italian wasn't quite up to that) and then kept popping into the garage to check if it was in stock yet as we needed exactly the same tyre as on the hire car. There are some beautiful places to explore nearby. The Frasassi caves are amazing - well worth seeing. The children were captivated. All in all, a wonderful holiday!

We had a Fantastic holiday.
We are a family with 2 young children; 4 and 2. We loved our holiday; the house, the facilities, toys, pool, Bonci's wine, the location, the local town and the general area. We had a mixture of day trips and a beach holiday. We returned home happy and relaxed. Prior to our holiday Diana answered any questions we had. Thank you. We spoke often and she could not have been more helpful. Tony, Lesley and Molly were very unobtrusive and extremely warm and helpful, again thank you! The local town is beautiful; its market, its cafes and lots of affordable great Italian eating options. Our only two regrets are; 1. our poor spoken Italian, as this area is not a tourist trap, a little bit of the language would be good. The local Italians are extremely warm and helpful and we always got by. 2. Getting home to cold london.. But a great holiday has to end:) We were so happy here! We would love to get back. Thank you.
