They are doing renovations at the property, and that took away from the stay. Also, they are new at this and there is room for improvement.
I am sure when renovations are done, and they are more accustomed to running it. Things will be much better.

Excellent value lodging in a stunning setting
Publié le 18 avr. 2018 sur HotelsI love staying at Thatchings with it beautiful setting (great walking with roaming game), very comfortable accommodation and really excellent service hosted by dedicated couple. A scrumptious breakfast is included providing great value for money and served in a lovely large sunny room overlooking the valley.

Welcome despite late arrival
Publié le 19 mars 2018 sur HotelsI arrived later than planned after a dreadful drive due to roadworks and trucks. It was dark and the road was about to become gravel. So I called Thatchings from a petrol station which turned out to be 10 minutes away and asked to be greeted with a G&T. I can't tell you how welcome that was when eventually I arrived. Very friendly and helpful atmosphere.

Nottingham Road Gem

The accommodation was pleasant and comfortable, set in the beautiful Midlands with great views surrounding from every angle. Highly recommended.

A Relaxing Interlude
Publié le 31 mars 2016 sur HotelsLovely, if brief, stay in a relaxing, picturesque guest house. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Lovely bird watching and fishing. Hotel close to N3 so convenient for overnight stopover and close to amenities in Nottingham Road. Only fault was lack of hairdryer in room which would have been nice.
