A great centralized location!

We loved how it was near a park and we were able to sit on the porch while watching our kids play. It was also in walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The inside was clean, well stocked, and well taken care of. We felt right at home and would recommend this cottage for any looking for a place to stay in the Black Hills!

Close to Town
Publié le 17 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe appreciated our time at the cabin, having beds for all 6 of us, a working kitchen and close to town. The kids enjoyed the playground close by as well. The one thing I was a bit surprised by was a transformer station/electrical hub by the cabin. There’s a great big tree that blocks most of it, but wasn’t quite as “woodsy” as I had expected 😝. The hosts were very responsive and helpful for our trip.

It is a sub station. I’m sorry you expected it to be in the woods when the listing states that it is IN TOWN 2 blocks off the Main Street.

Cozy, beautiful, country feel

It has a feeling of being out in the woods, but still only a few blocks off a main street. Family dollar store is within walking distance for anything we forgot.
We would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Custer.

SD road trip

This cottage was perfect for our two night stay and it was a short distance from everything we planned to see. The home had all the little things that we needed but didn’t pack for a road trip.

Publié le 14 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had an amazing stay at this property in Custer. The hosts were exceptionally easy to contact, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. The bunk bed bedrooms, while a bit small, were a hit with the kids—they absolutely loved them! The kitchen was very well equipped, and we enjoyed fantastic coffee each morning.
One of the highlights was the playground in the public park right outside. It was fantastic to watch the kids play from the deck. The location is perfect—close to anywhere in Custer yet very quiet and peaceful. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we highly recommend it!
