Hunting stay
Publié le 29 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was the perfect size for the group of friends and kids we had. It was a great location for where we were hunting at. The trail by the cabin was really nice to get outside and walk. A couple things that I was disappointed in was the amount of dead flies all over. We had to vacuum and sweep the whole house before getting settled in. I understand how it’s hard to do anything about that, but that amount of flies was a lot. We also had problems with the showers and water pressure. There was nothing we could do to fix this except let the water run for awhile and make showers short.

Beautiful Rustic Cabin
Publié le 26 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis cozy rustic cabin is just off the highway just south of Custer with beautiful views out every window and a sense of privacy. There is a small hiking trail out the back. The back patio has a large table and chairs and a grill for outdoor dining. Care was taken inside with every detail and feature matching a Black Hills cabin. The beds and furniture were cozy, as was the gas fireplace. The kitchen had all we needed. We enjoyed the board and card games. There was plenty of room for our 3 adults and 3 big kids with 3 private bedrooms with queen beds and a loft with 2 twin beds. We were happy to find a few snacks waiting for us when we arrived after a long day of travel. There is a coffee maker and kureg, but we could not get the kureg to work as it wouldn't turn on. I only have 2 complaints: the water is salty and not good for drinking or making tea or coffee. We bought gallons of water to use for consumption. Also the air is very dry and we all suffered in the morning after breathing the dry air all night. I highly recommend a humidifier for the winter months. Overall we enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again!

Wonderful Winter Retreat!
Publié le 17 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy spouse and I shared the cabin with my parents when we were in Custer for a family function. Our stay was comfortable and the cabin was well-stocked with anything that we might have needed. We hope to come stay again soon!

Exceeded Expectations
Publié le 11 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Proximity to the major area attractions was a huge plus. What we didn't expect was how lovely the setting of this property is. Running just behind the cabin is the Mickelson Trail, perfect for a quiet walk. Beside the cabin is a small hill with several rows of 5' tall rock outcroppings. Our children spent hours safely exploring and playing right in the yard.

Good time
Publié le 26 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayClean, good heat and ac. If I had to list a negative it would be a tiny one. I wake up often when sleeping and could hear the random car go by. If you rarely wakeup at night you wouldn't know they were there. We enjoyed our stay, would stay again

Black hills family trip

Custer Cabin
