A very clean stay!

Beautiful location
Publié le 2 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur stay was delightful. The view off the deck was so lovely, and we were completely surrounded by trees. We enjoyed taking the kayaks out and saw some local wildlife. It was a very quiet and peaceful location, and we really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful home by the river
Publié le 20 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe last time we stayed here with some friends in the winter and enjoyed this wonderful home so we decided to come back in the summer. We used this as our respite from riding the ATV trails. It was great to unload our ATVs here and just ride from the house. We wish that we had more time to enjoy all the amenities of the outdoors around the home but sadly we didn't have time. We did explore the outside and it was beautiful. We even had bought wood to have a campfire but didn't use it. There was plenty of wood at the house to use if weren't so exhausted when we got back from riding. The house made it super simple for us to just relax. Thanks!!!

Family get together

Lots of room for adult childen, parents and grandma - everyone was able to be together, but also have their own space. Lots of extras like the fireplaces, big deck, and well stocked kitchen - even holiday decorations! The location is beautiful and remote (wifi calling only) which worked well for our group of adults looking to spend family time. We noticed a maintenance issue (which did not affect our stay) and we got a quick response from the caretaker.

I'm glad to let you know that the shower door issue has been fixed; it was a quick adjustment, as a screw had come loose. We've also upgraded the grill as of December 2023, so you can look forward to that improvement on your next stay. Additionally, we added an antenna in the spring of 2024, giving guests access to five local channels. And we're working on providing new steak knives soon as well.
We're so pleased that, despite your 3-star rating, you've decided to return in 2024. We look forward to welcoming you back and ensuring another memorable stay!

Publié le 4 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy wife, two adult kids and I stayed here in August on a long weekend trip. The property was not easy to find in on Google Maps, which does not recognize the street address. But we obtained directions from our host and had no problem finding the house. Check in was easy, though the key lock box gave us a little trouble at first (it was a little difficult to figure out how to get it to open after the code was correctly entered). The house itself, the property, and the location all were outstanding. The house was spacious, very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The property is beautiful. It is on a large and wooded lot that is right on the river. You walk down a wooded path from the house to a private dock. We brought two kayaks and also used the two kayaks that came with the property so the four of us could kayak together. The river did not have a strong current, so paddling upstream was easy. We enjoyed breakfasts on the upstairs deck, overlooking the river. The planter on the deck attracted hummingbirds, which dined on the flowers just a few feet away. My son, daughter, wife and I all were thrilled with this property.

Jim and I grew up in that area and we like to find a place to gather with our adult children and grandchildren in the summer. We enjoyed fishing the Menominee river once again and watching the grandchildren enjoying their kayaks. In the evenings we played games and all while enjoying your beautiful natural setting. Though we thought you should know there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arived. I am sure just an oversight and we dealt with it. Thank you for our stay!
