Wonderful Family Vacation!
Publié le 21 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe came all the way from Arizona to visit family in nearby Daingerfield. We are so glad we picked this location for our home away from home. It was so quiet and peaceful for a cup of coffee on the porch. The kids loved the lake. We got in the water every day we were there. It was perfect for the dads to be in the water and my sister and I to watch them from the deck. The kids LOVED the slide! But watch out, it's fast!

Beautiful lake house
Publié le 28 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThis house is located on the Ellison Creek Reservoir (aka Lone Star Lake). It’s a beautiful 3 bedroom 2 full bath home. The kitchen is fully stocked and it has a stackable washer and dryer. The kitchen had plenty of items to help with cooking including spices, tin foil, and ziplock bags. The deck is a true gem. We sat out there and had our coffee every morning. There is a private boat dock that was perfect for fishing. We docked our boat on the covered slip which was a nice perk. We met the neighbors are both sides and they were very friendly. The house, linens, beds, and flooring were all very clean. We had excellent communication with the host who would reply promptly to any questions. This lake does have fishing restrictions due to water contamination so we didn’t fish to much on this lake. We took a short 17 minute drive to Lake o the Pines to fish. The outdoor grill is propane and had plenty of propane and grilling tools. This home was beautiful and has an excellent view of the reservoir. If you are looking for a nice lake retreat this home is easy to find, a great price, and has amenities for couples or families. The coffee provided was a nice surprise. The regular coffee pot came with a grinder and locally sourced coffee that was excellent. Thank you for sharing your home! We enjoyed it!

Lake life Paradise
Publié le 13 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWhat a beautiful home right on the lake. Views are fabulous with lots of comfortable relaxing areas. Boat dock is great for fishing or swimming! This house is as charming inside as outside. Beds are very comfortable and kitchen has everything you could possible need! We intend to come back to this delightful place many times.

Serene Getaway
Publié le 24 janv. 2022 sur HomeAwayMy wife and I spent five nights at this property in January. The weather was very cold most of our stay, but the house was always warm and comfortable. The views of the lake from inside the house were fantastic.
The purpose of our trip was to get away from home, family, and friends, and concentrate on the completion of several indoor type projects. This lake house was a great fit for our needs, and the cold weather was not a problem for us.
The last afternoon at the lake house, it was a little warmer and spent a couple of hours hiking around the lake in Daingerfield State Park which was only a 15 minute drive.
We had a very pleasant and productive 5 days.

Cozy Lake View

Relaxing Lake House

The house was in great shape and was stocked well with necessities. We fished and caught a few cat fish and hung out at night by the fire pit. Everyone enjoyed the location and were impressed with how beautiful everything was. The house was only a few minutes from a grocery store and restaurants which made everything easy. It’s was exactly what we were looking for!

The porch was great with amazing views of the Reservoir. We also enjoyed walking down to the water and watching the wildlife.

Excellent Staycation!
Publié le 9 août 2021 sur HomeAwayThis property is only about 30 minutes from my home. Located on Lonestar Lake. We wanted a staycation it was just far enough away. We stayed with another couple friends of ours, our kids, and their kid. Mostly swam out in front of the property. Beautiful views, plenty of things to do. And excellent dining within about a 30 minute range of this location. The 5D Cattle Company Steakhouse is superb. And Arnolds is a wonderful breakfast/lunch location. Grocery store is about seven minutes away.
