Posted Apr. 6, 2021 on HotelsMy wife and I live in Dalian and we enjoy staying at local hotels, especially since the pandemic. We had never stayed at the Golden Pebble Beach area, a part of the Dalian Development Zone, so we decided to make the short trip. The Hilton is massive and is billed as a resort. It certainly has a resort air to it. The photo doesn't really show that the hotel faces the ocean and is just a short walk to the beach. All the rooms have a balcony with a seating area and an overhang providing shade. Our room was spacious and clean. The Hilton promises disinfection of everything, so there are stickers showing what had been specially cleaned, including the tv remote. Even the doors are "sealed" with a disinfection sticker. The staff are especially helpful and friendly. The breakfast was pricey and just average as far as hotel breakfasts go. The Executive lounge had an afternoon tea with petite fours and a Happy Hour with a very decent selection of side dishes--enough to skip dinner.
The gym and pool were good though the locker rooms were cramped.
Before we left, we had a look at the brand new Hard Rock Hotel right next door. Next time we come to Golden Pebble Beach, we will stay at the Hilton and visit the Hard Rock and then make a hasty retreat back to the more sedate Hilton.

Pretty good, but could use some improvement
Posted Nov. 9, 2020 on HotelsThe stay all in all was great. Didn’t get a chance to try the executive bar but everything else fit my expectations. Two things weren’t so pleasant took place: 1. The menu said room service should be available 24/7, but I had to order food from elsewhere at 1 am; 2. The bath tub was not clean. It was covered by those little black dust. I had to clean it first before using it. But other than those, it was a good stay!

酒店没得挑,装修得非常漂亮,服务热情专业。唯一美中不足是客房送餐,选择非常少。点了个牛尾汤,出品非常失望。如果不是生病不想下楼,随便点个外卖都比这个好

Stayed for four nights with my family. Thought it has its own beach, but it is not. The only good part of the beach (tide pools) is closed off by sea-cucumber farmers. The staff could have more training.
