A good option overall
Publié le 28 oct. 2023 sur HotelsI had a pleasant stay at La Quinta in Allen, Texas. My room was comfortable. I appreciated that there was a small sofa in the room; it was nice to relax on at night. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was nice overall. Pluses of breakfast: Nice big breakfast room; tables not too close; decent coffee; fruit, whole milk, and real butter. Negatives of breakfast: No whole grain bread, bagel, or muffin options. The main drawback of this hotel is that there is only one elevator, and it is quite slow. Over a 4-day stay, I grew tired of waiting for it, and heard other guests complain about it. Considering it's a large 4-story hotel, I think they should have built it with a second elevator.

Nice budget hotel
Publié le 25 oct. 2023 sur HotelsThe hotel looks new and the parking area was still under construction. The room was fine, but the wall was a little thin - I heard my neighbors talking. Free breakfast was a nice addition.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel as my room was not cleaned for two consecutive days. First day food that was brought up to the room and was still in the room when I came back at night. Second day was worse, the beds were not made, bathroom was dirty from the previous day and trash was not even picked up as we had left garbage bags from we purchases we had made the prior day prior. Despite raising the issue with the reception staff, we were told we had put a do not disturbed sign outside which is a lie - we noticed all they had done was pick up the dirty towers we had left on the bathroom floor. This lack of housekeeping service seriously impacted my stay and overall satisfaction. Not only do I hope the management addresses this issue promptly to prevent similar incidents in the future, but provide a full refund for my stay. The reason I usually stay at chain hotels is that I know what to expect as the motto is “best surprise, is no surprise” as you know what to expect. This below bar experience is inexcusable.
