Was not as advertised
Publié le 4 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWe checked in on a Friday and everything seemed nice, then we noticed multiple rooms on the listing were not accessible or missing.
Upon further inspection of the house we realized multiple doors upstairs and downstairs on a correlating side of the house were locked off. Given the aerial photos on the listing there was a whole section of the advertised property that we later realized had someone else staying in. We were not informed.
The following morning (Saturday) we heard people in the house. Which again, we were not informed of sharing, nor not having all of the advertised listing.
We were also told we couldn’t use all of the parking and that it was shared with a “neighbor”. So again, further verification someone was there with us but not disclosed to us. They had their cars parked on one side of the large driveway.
If we were informed and a different price was established given the fact we did not get what we paid for I would have been reasonable, but I feel like we were scammed. Very disappointed. Will not recommend or book again.

Our property includes a total of six bedrooms. As outlined in our house description, bedrooms five and six are accessible to groups of over eight guests to ensure comfortable accommodations tailored to the size of each party. It seems there was a misunderstanding regarding this aspect, and I apologize if this was not communicated clearly at the time of your booking.
The property is designed with two distinct units. The main house is entirely for guest use, while a second, unconnected unit is occupied by others. Our listing aims to describe this setup accurately, and I apologize if this distinction was not sufficiently clear.
Regarding the parking situation, the house features five spots in the garage and three in the driveway, dedicated solely for guest use. No other cars should be using these spaces, and any deviation from this is not in line with our policy.
Please be assured that the security and privacy of our guests are our top priorities, and at no point did anyone from the other unit enter your rented space.
We strive for transparency in our communications and are committed to improving based on the feedback we receive. I would welcome the chance to discuss this further with you directly, to better understand your concerns and address them appropriately.

Beautiful property

It turned out to be quite a ways from surrounding towns which I hadnt accounted for but didnt mind in the end. We had come for the nascar race and it was a ways feom the track but far from the hustle and bustle. The host was very considerate and welcoming, and was welcoming to any adjustments requested.

Perfect Stay

The house was exactly as pictured… Actually even better in person. i contacted the host at 4am and he communicated with me so well he was definitely available 24/7. Nice sizes 2 car garage & plenty driveway space BUT If having day visitors i recommend having them park by the lake (2 minute walk) Thank you i can’t wait to book again

Family Summer Vaca

Amazing getaway!

We had so much fun relaxing by the pool and kayaking in the lake with the provided kayaks! The game room with the ping pong table and pool table was a blast! The beds are super comfortable and the house is close to lots of nice restaurants. Host was quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns. Will definitely return!
