Worst stay EVER

I don’t have enough time in the day to tell you about this most horrific experience. Came from NJ with my sister and Mom(senior) to visit a sister that lives in the area. I had to phone the host at 4:45 for instructions and at first she didn’t even know who I was and that I was due to check in.. that should have been a red flag from the start. It actually went downhill from there. We couldn’t stay the 1st night due to the uncleanliness of the place.. contacted the host and they order the cleaning services to return the next day to clean again (we have pictures). Just a few points of interest we reluctantly returned the next day (yet again bringing in all our luggage for a 2nd time) and it was better.. at least we thought. My sister refused to stay here so it was just me and my mom. Beds were horrible(squeaky) air in the rooms turned off and on all night.. noisy. The next day we noticed tiny ants in different parts of the house… kitchen counter.. around the tub.. on one of the beds..and coming in through the sink in the master. They had raid in the cabinet so I masked up and sprayed all around(had to have my mom leave the property). We did actually sleep here 3 of the 8 nights due to unavailability at local hotels and the expense. This is just a few of the horrific experiences we incurred at this property. I will be registering a complaint and would like to be compensated in some way.

We believe these guests were making stuff up and being extremely dramatic unreasonable. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and are known for it. We’ve hosted thousands of guests over many years and have hundreds of 5 star reviews on Airbnb. We’ve gotten good at recognizing when people are acting strange. We believe VRBO agrees with us as they only asked to send the cleaners to calm them down which we promptly did. The guests were complaining that the shower and number of bathrooms were different than listed but they’re exactly as pictured, among many other things that didn’t make sense. We think this may have been some type of manipulation to break the cancellation policy. You can see the reviews immediately before and after this guest are glowing 5 star reviews.

Nice condo near the beach

Property was clean and had just about everything we needed. Close to beaches in Dana point and PCH. Quiet at night and comfortable.

Two weeks in Dana Point

The property has many maintenance issues. The location is heavily residential and there are many vehicles. The units are clean and nice, but the television is Netflix only. The pool and gym are down the road at 24 hr fitness. Maintenance issues aren't responded to promptly and usually take several days to gain attention. There are many beach items, such as boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. There are two private garages plus two outdoor parking places.

Gary very unusual. He clogged the sink and tried to blame it on us (hence the “maintenance issues”). It was stuffed full of carrots and potatoes so it was either intentional or gross negligence. He was harassing the manager every hour with new complaints that didn’t make sense. One of his complaints was that there weren’t enough plates. When the manager brought him more plates she found there were actually plenty of plates already there. When she showed Gary the plates that were already there he acted as if he knew already. That’s when we knew he was making stuff up so we stopped responding to him.

Nice accommodations

Property was as described, but a long walk to downtown and any restaurants. Big plus is the garage as it is in a very populated area with no street parking available. Extras such as cooler and beach chairs was much appreciated. Property owner was very responsive and addressed some maintenance issues. Dana Point is a beautiful area.

Dana point stay

The property was very nice and my son and I were very comfortable in our rooms we stayed in Neighborhood little rough. Someone set off huge fireworks at 11:30 pm and set off everyone’s car alarm in neighborhood But overall it was a good place to stay for my family. Lori

Great spot for families

We stayed for a week on a family vacation, 3 adults and 2 little kids, and were overall happy and would recommend this place. There was plenty of space for the 5 of us, nice features (TVs in every room; board games, books, and movies available; beach stuff in the garage), and a great location (5 minute drive to the harbor, a short walk to the trolley stop on Golden Lantern).

House is clean and neat. Most amenities are provided. Owner was very responsive. Having a garage was great! Recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Dana Point.

Summer Trip

Me and three friends stayed here for our senior trip and we absolutely enjoyed our time here. The house worked perfectly for the four of us.
