There were lots of guys hanging around the parking lot and the lobby. We felt very unsafe. We walked in and checked in but as we were going to get our things out of our car, we decided to go elsewhere. The same group of guys watched/stared, in a creepy way, all the way in and all the way out. While the staff was pleasant to us, they seemed put out in general to be there. The key machine wasn't working correctly and I was given one key to the right room and one to the wrong one!

Just the smell, cleanliness, and fact that I had 5 couch pillows for sleeping pillows. Wouldn’t recommend. Staff was extremely nice and helpful.

staff was great, even though they were out of some complimentary like toothpaste or extra, they did go out of their way to try & find some for us, Ice machine on main floor was not working not sure about other floors, maybe some newer carpet & dining seating would help, I sat in a bench seat for breakfast & sunk down due to it being broke down, maybe go to queen beds & lower them some, if your short or got back/leg problems the beds do set up pretty high from ground, other than that we had a very quiet comfortable stay & staff was very helpful & polite.

The property was very dirty. The room smelled of smoke even before we got into the room. The swimming pool was green and unusable.

The building needs attention. The pool was not in service, and it doesn't look like it has been for a while.

Overall I'd give this property 4/5 stars. Removing a star because it definitely needs some updates, like fresh paint on the bathroom walls (there were patched spots that hadn't been painted over, and it just looks old) air grates were rusty and needed replacing, and the curtains looked super old. However, the bed was comfortable, the linens were cotton and were clean and comfortable, as were the pillows. The towels were clean. The TV in our room was nice and big which was great since we watched a couple of football games. We ate at the Mexican restaurant which really close. We were slightly inconvenienced by early checkin not being available. The hotel said they were full the night before...OK, understood. But when we arrived it sounded like there was only one (!) housekeeper responsible for cleaning all the rooms. That struck me as bizarre and it certainly inconvenienced us. Overall, we'd probably not stay here again. I'd rather pay a bit more for The Hampton Inn nearby to have updated accommodations and early checkin available.

The bath wall was 1/2 painted, toilet seat not attached, no shades on lights, light bulbs flickering on and off, grass on the carpet
