It was a historic setting in beautiful countryside though the old Chateau was very old and we were put in a musty room with no air circulation. The host was very inhospitable constantly arguing he didn't hear about Vrbo and demanded we pay him in cash even when I showed him Vrbo had withdrawn the money from my credit card account. We left after the first night with him chasing after us trying to force us to go to Daon instead of Chateau Gontier where we were to attend a wedding.

Publié le 30 juin 2019 sur HomeAwayCharacter and charm! Unusual property with rustic charm. The long driveway to the Chateau takes you back into and through nature. We saw deer, lots of bird life including large birds which we think were buzzards. Contented cows and a beautiful rural setting. Our host Louis was welcoming, interesting and good company. Thank You!
