I was horrified with the hotel. It is extremely far from town, in the middle of the poorest areas. The security did not look too good, also it is surrounded by local drinking bars so there is a LOT of noise. We had people heckling us on the road. All in all we didn't stay the night and had to pay another expensive fee back into town with a taxi and pay for another hotel. The money you save is not worth it. Just pay a little extra and get a decent hotel in town. The staff were not bad though, they made due with what they had.

It was a university student room. Everything was well organized. Definitely excellent value for money

Inexpensive Option in Dar es Salaam

Pour : Inexpensive; large room, furnishings (desk, refrigerator, ironing board, television, sound system, DVD player); mainly sense of affordable security
Contre : The carpet was musty; this was the big negative. Some lights didn't work, the shower head flew off when it was bumped, no wifi at the time.
Emplacement : The restaurant attached served a very nice dish of traditional beef. Simple but good.
Very inexpensive option. My room was huge (for the price). The restaurant served very good local food. I found the staff to be very friendly, although they weren't exactly expecting me. Not a problem, they put me a room and there were no issues.

Don't eat the hotel food

Fine, nothing around the hotel. The hotel food made me sick. Power kept going out. Staff was annoyed with me but responded every time I asked them about the power.

Substandard.

Not nice at all, the toilet in the room I was given was so close to the wall that I could not use it.
