Nice hotel with parking out at the front. Easy check-in. Room was very clean and looked nice. In some areas it could do with a re-paint and the TV’s could be updated to smart TV so guests could stream their own media but otherwise a well equipped room with everything i needed.

Lovely hotel in a lovely village setting
Publié le 6 août 2024 sur HotelsCheck in was great, we (me and my hubby), were there for a wedding and they allowed us to check in two hours early as the room was ready, which was a great help to us, to get unpacked and finish getting ready before the ceremony. The staff were friendly, professional and polite. Our room(number1), was delightful, lovely muted green colour scheme, with a very comfortable king size bed resulting in a good nights sleep. There was a nice bathroom with a big shower, just the job! Also provided was an iron and ironing board. For some reason we didn't have a kettle in our room, although the cups and tea and coffee were there, so perhaps an oversite of the domestic staff?We reported it at check out and they made a note of it. We were disappointed not to be able to have our morning tea in our room, as we always do prior to breakfast, but it wasn't a major issue. We had a full 'Classic' cooked breakfast which was lovely, although my yolks on my fried eggs were hard, but then I am particularly fussy over that, ha. I didn't say anything about it though, but I'm sure they would have changed them if I"d asked. We also had two pots of Yorkshire tea, which we thoroughly enjoyed. All in all a fantastic stay and would highly recommend.

Good Location for Croft Circuit
Publié le 28 juill. 2024 sur HotelsI was visiting Croft race circuit for a weekend race meeting. Local hotel to the track. Just one night. Checked in around 7:30pm.
Hotel first impression was it was tired. But no probs - it was ok, I went on to reception. Waited few mins for someone to appear. Staff member appeared, eating.
Then she went to get help. Was quite odd - like secret squirrel with the two girls whispering what room to give, I presume, as they moved the mouse around the screen. But all ok. Just auite odd. Up to the room. Adequate and looked fairly recently refurbished. I had a shower, made a call, and then went downstairs for a drink and food. It was 8:35pm. No-one was at bar to serve. It was a small bar. I went and found someone. Ordered a drink and asked for a menu, only to be told that food is stopped serving from 8:30. It was now 8:38. I had missed the opportunity for some food.
I went back upstairs after my single drink. No dinner.
There was a wedding reception at the hotel. I could hear the music until I fell asleep at around 11pm. A nice sleep. That’s the full summary.
Checked out at 8am. I just left the key card in the quick check-out box and left for the circuit.
But, all that said, which is more feedback to the hotel than anything else, I will ask myself the usual question - would I stay there again? Answer - all in all, I’d definitely stay there again.

Lovely hotel, reasonably priced
