What a week at the Chic!
My husband and I absolutely loved this house. We had plenty of room for others, but needed this time for ourselves since we were celebrating our 26th anniversary. We sat on the covered back porch with coffee, fished off the private covered pier, and walked along the bay looking for shells. We had perfect weather! This cottage is a perfect getaway. If you fish and you do not have a boat it is very shallow here. I wish it had been a little deeper but that did not prevent us from giving this place five stars. We will definitely stay there again. Oh, and no grill, but we carried our own small griddle and bought grouper and shrimp. Dockside blackened shrimp didn't disappoint either! Wonderful place and pretty private except for neighbors working the crabs but that was rather interesting in itself.

Wonderful Vacation Spot
We found the property in a really nice neighborhood, very clean and quiet. The home was decorated very beautifully and comfortable. We could see the bay from our back porch and enjoyed early morning and late evening relaxation. Gulf beach access was a short 5 min walk. We felt very comfortable and safe there.

Really clean beach house with a fantastic view! Beautifully decorated. Lots of board games for a rainy day. The beds were not super comfy, but also not uncomfortable. The kitchen provided the basics, but there were no extras that we have typically found in other homes, such as coffee filters for the provided coffee maker, ziplocks, aluminum foil, etc. Overall a fantastic stay!

Very cute beach house
Stayed here for our anniversary. Wanted a quiet getaway and this home delivered! It’s decorated very cute, has games, TV with Amazon fire that we were able to watch anything we wanted, board games in the closet, full kitchen with basics, and a comfortable bed. Great for a single family or small group. We’d definitely come back!

Peace and Tranquility in a Beach House Gem
We wanted a relaxing vacation in a beautiful beach house and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house was clean and the pictures do not do it justice. My husband and I loved the bay side because it has a private pier and the calm water was just so peaceful. We were able to relax and watch the sunrise and the sunset from the deck or the pier The gulf side is just across the street and you can even see it from the kitchen and one of the bedrooms. The view of the bay from the house was worth the entire trip. The beach house was the vacation and a perfect escape from work. Management was super helpful and you will not need for anything. We brought food from Skinner's and visited the galleries to get some souvenirs from local artists. One great feature not mentioned in other reviews was the deck had speakers so we could listen to music inside and outside. I cannot say enough great things about this place. Highly recommend!

Very nice property
We had a fantastic time on our first trip to Dauphin Island. This property is very nice and has rhetoric you need. Very spacious and the large back deck overlooking the bay with its own fishing dock/pier is a HUGE bonus. It's very quiet and peaceful here. Not the place for people who love all the hubbub of places like Destin or Gulf Shores. But it's lovely, plenty of places to eat and this house is perfectly located and was exceptionally clean. Never needed to contact the management/owners either. We will definitely be back! Thanks!

A peaceful visit
This is a lovely home in a lovely setting. It had everything we needed in the house, including a well-equipped kitchen. The view of the sound was beautiful, and there was easy access to the beach on the other side of the island. The twin room might be a bit tight for two adults staying for a week, but otherwise the house felt spacious.

IIt was the best of both worlds, bay and beach. Quiet, beautiful. On;y thing that could make it better - reclining seats on the deck for afternoon naps and curtains of the back windows and maybe a paddle board. But it really was one of the best weeks ever.

After 3 years staying in this house it's like visiting a favorite relative ❤ always clean and comfortable. Love my coffee on the deck in the mornings! Making memories on the beach with my grandkids. We love it!

Great property and gorgeous view but bring your lifted vehicle!
Great view of the MS Sound on the bay side and a 2 min walk to the gulf side - best of both worlds! We arrived jiust after a couple days rain. Several of the streets to West end were flooded and Sadly due to non maintenance of drainage the water stood across entire roads including one on street running in front of house. One car in center of street crawling at snails pace to prevent flooding to get in /out daily. Seemed only on west part of island. Hot sunny days never lessened the standing water and we crawled through in our smaller SUV each time we left house to go anywhere. Ugh! Any additional rain n think we could have had a stranded situation. VRBO and owner (long distant?) take note!! Lots of area construction may be blocking your street's drainage? Street in front of this property was deepest. Otherwise nice and clean property w all needed items. Really enjoyed the sunsets here!

This was the perfect beach house! The house is stocked with all the stuff you'll need for a family, including plastic dishes for the kids and wine glasses for the adults. We loved the beach access and the outdoor shower to rinse off all the sand. The kids loved checking out the seashell decor and the rooms were comfortable and cool.

Relaxed week
The home, two owners back, belonged to decorators and owners of an antique store. The house reflects that: it’s interior is very artful. The current owners need to spend time there and work on fixing some accumulating minor problems. The kitchen faucet with it’s extending hose is on its last leg. The range shows a continuous error signal and will at times beep. The fitted sheets for the master bed don’t fit and therefore are off the corners the minute you lie down. One of the two bathrooms was missing a toilet seat and we asked Vacasa to repair —which they did the day after arrival and were very efficient and cordial. The electrical outlets and fuse boxes on the wharf are very dangerous and I assume the power is turned off. The porch ceiling fan on the water side doesn’t work and makes sitting there very hot and uncomfortable unless there is a north wind which is not the prevailing direction. The house pretty badly needs an exterior paint job and replacement of galvanized partial window covers on the south side. I have given this rental a four rating but it deserves a 4.5 to 4.7 because it is comfortable, attractive and has a great view. It needs the investment of TLC by the current owners. We would gladly stay there again with minor maintenance issues resolved.
