Get what you pay for
It's a very old house, beds were not comfortable could feel the springs, sheets didn't feel clean at all and very scratchy cheap, the backdoor was extremely difficult to close and open thought it was going to break and definitely didn't feel safe that it was locked. The 5 spots we were allowed by the permit to park to go to the beach, 3 of them were blocked off due to construction and the 4th was too far from the house. Coffee maker was broken and no grill which we knew about but still what house doesn't provide a grill!? Definitely a the cheapest on that island but still could have been better

The property is well equipped and maintained. I received my check in credentials prior to arrival and had no problems. There was a Gale force storm that lasted approximately 12 hours and did some minor damage to the house. It was extremely easy to contact the property manager to alert them to the damage.

Beds so hard we slept on couches. Door to ocean view deck stuck so can't access it from living room. Pots and pans old and disgusting. House has something making a loud vibrating noise off and on. On busy street with loud traffic noise. Can see a speck of ocean between 2 houses but most of the "fantastic view" is of all the houses surrounding this one and the street it is on. If you still want to rent it here are directions to the beach since none were provided and there are no signs, so we just had to wander around until we found it: go right out of the driveway and then left on the first street (not court) that you come to. It dead ends at beach access.

This house was easy to find because of its unique structure. We wish the beach access had been more clear. We couldn’t walk to the public beach and it was hard to find a nearby point where we could enter. It was not a 2 minute walk maybe a 2 minute drive. The main bed was uncomfortable and needed a new mattress. There were lots of stairs which might be challenging for older and younger guests. The kitchen had everything we needed and the house was clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Tv wasn't working. We had to miss the wrestling match first time in 15 years. Tried to get a hold of host. No response. The bed upstairs was very uncomfortable. Can't wait to get back home and get in my own bed. Other than that, it was an overall comfortable stay. It was an adorable house.

House was exactly as expected. It is an older home with older home issues. Furniture was very nice and comfortable, beds left a little bit to be desired.. the only big issue I had was when the code would not let us into the house and it took 15 minutes just to get in touch with someone( automated), I feel like I should have had a contact person on the island, not an automated answering service. Overall, we had a nice trip celebrating my dads 81st birthday, just wish it hadn’t been so cold…..would stay again if we are ever in the need of a home on Dauphin Island.. it’s a WONDERFUL place to be.

Most all of the cookin utensils and coffemaker were outdated or not workin and much of the interior needs updating, especially the floor. I will not return to this location due to the lack of accommodations. After driving over 20hrs to arrive to this place, pay this much and not have expectations met was a disappointment for me and my family.

Location was great, looks like a dog chewed up the place
Location was great. Very easy to find. There was a strong smell of dog on the furniture and chewed on blinds. I am not sure if the holes in the comforter was due to a dog. There was something going on with the flooring (separated tiles) and the front door (despite having MANY lock) only had one bolt that worked. Definitely needed cleaned and dusted. If you have dog or dust allergies, skip this house. If you do book, I would bring your own bedding, beach towels, hair dryer and a coffee maker (I could not get the water well clean on the coffee maker).

Cont'd- shower curtains/ liners. Porch doors locking mechanism not very secure. Same with doors leading to mbdrm from deck. Binder on counter could be replaced. Very dirty to even review. All cookware utensils needs cleaning had residue on.them. pots pans could be replaced. Paper products were the cheapest you've ever used! Paper towels and TP.

Quiet and relaxing stay
My sister, our friend, and myself stayed in this very cute house. We found the home to be very clean and comfortable. The house has three decks to spend time outside which was great for us as we like to spend lots of time outside. The public beach access is close and a very cute park is about a block away. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook there two meals per day and sampled many of the local restaurants that are very close by. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation, this house will be perfect for you!
