Good location, roomy
Publié le 6 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayOur stay here was pleasant and it was nice to be able to walk downtown. The place itself was clean and comfortable. Only a few minor things were bothersome. Road noise was very loud. There was a very unpleasant smell in the house and we couldn't open some windows and others had no screens. Would have been nice to have a few more kitchen staples like sugar, salt etc. Communication with owner was wonderful tho.

Comfortable Stay
Publié le 13 janv. 2022 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our stay in this property. The bed was super comfortable and BIG. We had all the amenities we needed, and the listing was exactly as advertised.
It was a short walking distance from Historic Downtown and was convenient for coffee and ice cream.

If you come to Deland, this is the place to stay!

Booked us in a unit already Rented
Publié le 17 déc. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe were coming to attend a funeral for a dear friend. I was looking for a pet friendly place to stay for 2 nights. We looked at pictures online of the place we booked. Looked nice! Within 24 hours after we paid the mgr called said that rental should NOT have been available. He said they could upgrade us or refund monies paid. Sheer panic set in since we were headed to Florida with no place to stay. I did agree to the UPGRADE. However, it was not the equivalent of what we saw online. The unit was NOT updated, with bugs (I have pics) with frogs!! Never again! I wished I had said REFUND!

A guest was in this unit for a couple of months and needed to add a week. I said OK but before I blocked the calendar for the extra nights I got this reservation. Within couple hours I called an offered a full refund or offered a stay in another unit. All of our units are clean and nice. When any of us book a place we want the place we saw in the photos. We would have both been better off with the refund.

Old but Good

I love staying in historic buildings, especially turn of the century ones. The Floridian was remodeled with beautiful wood floors, new appliances and bath but we left the Victorian high ceilings and lighting intact as well as the double pained windows.

More than adequate...
Publié le 22 janv. 2020 sur HomeAwayIf you don’t mind being on a busy street, this rental is very accommodating, and is within walking distance of downtown DeLand. The property manager is very friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend Cook’s Buffet. Best time to go is mid-afternoon.
And Barkley Square dog park is a must if you have four-legged family with you.
