Perfect Stay
The house was perfect for our stay. Extremely clean and homey. It’s in a very quiet area, which I really liked. If the house is available, I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Decorah.

October 2023 Sister Get-Away
This was perfect for us sisters to gather and stay in one place to be able to share stories, laugh, gather around the fire pit and just relax!!! This property was close to everything downtown and walking/hiking trails. Showers were amazing and had a lot of pressure. The only downside for us, was not having curtains/blinds on all the windows downstairs; the grass was pretty long but a minor issue. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend this place.

Artist Studio Tour
Was a great location to start out daily drives to artists' studios and a wonderful place to land after the day was done. Close to downtown Decorah. Recommend taking time to visit Vesterheim - The National Norwegian-American Museum and dining at Rubaiyat. We think you will enjoy both.

We were with family most of the weekend but the house was just perfect for us and close to our family’s farm, but the beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean and lots of hot water! The manager was very helpful and responsive! Thank you for contributing to a wonderful family weekend!

Great yard space for the kids to play, location very convenient, and lots of space to spread out inside. There is a "nearly free" EV charging station within walking distance of the house which was very convenient! Enjoyed our stay and great communication with the owners.

Its hard to find a good place for 2 families of 4! But this checked all of the boxes! Plenty of room for us all. Kitchen space was plenty amd thr fire pit was great! We hiked and enjoyed the area breweries. Kids loved the hatchery!

Sisters' Getaway
We were three sisters and a cousin on a short visit with family and to connect with our heritage at Vesterheim. The house is clean, fresh, and very spacious. Hardwood floors are beautiful and the kitchen is huge and well laid out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again.

This is an absolutely lovely home to share with friends and family. It is comfortable, clean and has a warm and welcoming feel. Mattine is very responsive and has done a great job making this home feel inviting. If you and friends or family need a place to stay, near the college and not far from downtown Decorah, I highly recommend Mattine's farmhouse!
