No heat in the middle of winter
Publié le 1 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy family rented Robins Crest from December 28th through the 1st. We had nothing but issues which I know you are well aware of. From the start, we arrived at 4pm and our code was not working. We tried multiple times and the door wouldn’t unlock. Luckily a side door of the house was unlocked so we could still access the property. I did receive your email about a new code at 11pm on the 28th. 7 hours after check in. We had non stop issues with the heat. I sent your team multiple messages with pictures showing you how cold the house was. It got down to 62 degrees on Friday morning. Maintenance had to come out every day to restart the furnace but it would stop working in the middle of the night. We had to wake up and reset it multiples times a night. When we woke up to 62 degrees on Friday we tried to start the indoor fireplace to get some heat. The fireplace was not working so we had no access to a heat source in the house when it was in the 20s outside and snowing. I had to call multiple times on Friday and your maintenance team didn’t come until after 3pm. The maintenance team also shared “that the safety button was finicky and this happened with another stay last month. That his colleague put duct tape on it and it seemed to fix the issue”. This means your team and the owner knew there was an issue with the heater in the middle of winter and haven’t addressed it past duct tape.

Thank you for sharing. We always regret the few times a guest has any issues. Your problems entering into the home I'm sure was frustrating however we did send a back up code as soon as we knew that you had experienced any problems. Post your departure we did examine the lock as well as the code you were initially provided and despite our best efforts we could not duplicate the same issues that you reportedly experienced. You are correct in that just prior to your stay there was an issue with the heat. In that case we were able to reset the heat and it continued to work for the duration of that guest stay. We did however call a HVAC contractor to troubleshoot the system during a time it was unoccupied. So yes we did have "prior" knowledge of something happening to the system but in no way to a point the would facilitate moving or canceling your reservation. I do apologize that our response times were slowed down due to the holidays and the heavy occupancy during that time. I was relieved to see that you were refunded the cost of 2 nights rental rate for the stress involved. You will be happy to hear that the issue has been resolved and the repair was minor. Knowing this we truly hope that you will come back for a revisit and enjoy this wonderful home again.

Beautiful views from deck

Needs some TLC

For example, the toilet paper holders fall off of the wall in all bathrooms. We were supposed to check in at 4; however, at 5:30 the cleaner was still not finished. I contacted the property manager about the late checkin to which he never replied. There was a mountain of trash from prior tenants that had not been taken off. Overall the property is in a nice neighborhood and functional.

Stunning views!
Publié le 4 nov. 2022 sur HomeAwayWe’ve been renting at BRMC since 2018. The property was in a nice neighborhood. The views were gorgeous!! The only thing we felt like we missed this time was a half bath on the main floor. There were only 3 of us but I can’t imagine what it would be like if we had 7, as we normally do! If anyone needed to go to the bathroom while showers were going on they were out of luck! Overall it was a wonderful house and is ideal for a group of 2-4.

Quiet and Relaxing

Amazing Cabin & Community, but....
Publié le 4 mars 2022 sur HomeAwayThis cabin is beautiful and the community that it is in (Blue Ridge Mountain Club) is unbelievably pristine. We really enjoyed being able to use on-site amenities such as their hiking trails, fitness center, sauna, pickleball courts and restaurant. Unfortunately, there were a lot of details overlooked related to cleanliness and general disrepair that really added up and impacted how we felt overall about our stay. That said, everyone we interacted with from Carolina Cabin Rentals were responsive and friendly. Robin’s Crest is in a great location with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone, Blowing Rock, snowboarding, grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and more. We'll definitely be back to this part of North Carolina soon!

Amazing!
