Great place to unwind

The location on the stream and the screened porch were perfect to get away from the everyday stress, not to mention a great hot tub under the stars. Awesome way to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We would definitely stay again.

Back porch

There were a couple of cleanliness items in one of the cabinets we had to take care of but after that it was a nice cozy cabin to unwind in. There was a new grill to use and had the creek not been low, the fishing would have been better I believe. Overall it was a good stay.

Peaceful getaway
Publié le 20 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our stay. It was quiet & peaceful, the creek & surrounding area was beautiful. We like to walk & found the road to be safe & walkable. The hot tub was clean & very relaxing. Bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the gas fireplace & the fire pit outside. Would stay here again for sure!

Too Busy
Publié le 16 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayBeautiful property, cabin is nice & well stocked, could use some cornhole boards as creek water was low & fishing was not great but caught a few small trout. Thankfully no one was in the other cabin or that would have been a HUGE problem as you share a yard, its only separated by a driveway. gravel & dirt road is super close to cabin & extremely busy. The dust was horrible!!! Would not stay again due to road & other cabin proximity.

Hi this is Nancy the owner , after reading your review I am sorry to hear about the water level in the creek , it does increase and decrease depending on the rain fall , but how exciting that you were able to still catch fish !!!! The dust on the road is also dependent on the rain fall how it is “ packed in “
. As far as the proximity of the second cabin on my property usually our guests do not find it to be a problem because my cabins are faced in opposite directions but maybe something a little more remote would be better for your future stay . I love the idea of adding corn hole boards to our many amenities Thankyou for that suggestion . Have a Healthy , Happy Rest of the year .

Great Cabin with a Great View

Quaint cabin
Publié le 15 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved our stay at the trout retreat! Cabin was adorable and rustic. Kitchen was well equipped (one of the better VRBO kitchens we’ve had!). Me, my son and our dog loved the stream and had a blast playing, floating, bumping and fishing. Would definitely stay here again!

NC Vacay
Publié le 2 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWhat a wonderful week of peace and quiet. This was perfect for my wife & I to unwind and refill our tanks with rest and relaxation. While spending a lot of time on the screened in porch, listening to the calm of a babbling brook (trout stream), reading, coffee, table games, and just sitting & soaking up the silence was terrific. We did venture around the area & have always loved the Appalachian mountains. The hosts were very responsive to a question and all is as advertised. Would HIGHLY recommend and hope to return someday. :) Thank you for a great week in the valley.

Serenity and peaceful
Publié le 2 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe arrived a little early. But was met with a beautiful clean cabin. " I want one" LoL. Nothing but good vibes in this cozy retreat. Next door neighbor came over and introduced himself. He and I fished a lot. We just needed this, some traffic on the road but later it just got quiet. I didn't touch my phone the whole stay. It was a great 25th anniversary. Thank you so much
