Welcome to our farmhouse turned part-time residence and rental, in picturesque Deer Isle in Maine, just a 5-minute walk to Deer Isle Village with 44 North Coffee open year-round, Deer Isle Library, The Periwinkle, and art galleries. With its rich history and idyllic location, our home offers a relaxing retreat for those seeking a picturesque getaway in coastal Maine on an artsy island that also hosts Haystack Mountain School of Crafts.
The farmhouse exudes a quaint and rustic charm with an enclosed porch, where a pair of rocking chairs invites you to sit back and savor the tranquil ambiance. From here, you can take in breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including a vibrant lupine field from late May - mid-July that adds a burst of color to the scenery during the summer months.
Important notes:
The two bedrooms and a full bathroom are up a flight of stairs. The ground floor contains a living/reading room, dining room, half bath with washer/dryer, and kitchen. There is an enclosed side porch and a backyard wildflower meadow. The harbor is across the street and Mill Pond is down the street.
Guest access:
Exclusive access to the entire house is granted to guests, excluding the barn, extension to the barn, and basement. While there's no dishwasher, a washer and dryer are conveniently available on-site.

For those who appreciate the written word, our farmhouse boasts an extensive collection of books that line the shelves. Lose yourself in the pages of literary classics or discover new authors as you curl up in a cozy nook. Peruse our curated book collection, relax with one of hundreds of books, and purchase some to take home! Or take a three-minute walk to the causeway and Deer Isle village. Note that at this time, the farmhouse does not have a television.
