The Front Porch
Publié le 29 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were drawn by the front porch. And we were not disappointed. During our stay, there were 2 rainy days. Instead of being cooped up inside, we read books and played games on the porch. It was like having an extra room. The kids ate breakfast out there each day watching birds, counting boats, drawing, whittling, and enjoying the view.
If you aren’t used to it, the high iron content makes the drinking water not taste great. Consider bringing your own drinking water.
A note: the “coffee pot” is a Keurig (bring K-cups, not grounds) and if tea is your drink, bring a tea kettle.
Over all, a great stay in a great house with a great quiet neighborhood, and a great view.

Labor Day Weekend Stay

The porch is huge and is the perfect place to watch the sunset and feel the breeze off the water. The cottage is very spacious and extremely clean. If not having immediate access to the water isn’t a big deal to you then this is the perfect place. We had family staying in Whitestone so we drove over every morning and accessed the water there. We would definitely stay here again and are already planning to book next year!

Kitchen stocked with everything you might need. Great view of the river and a covered front porch to sit and enjoy it! Lovely area to walk around as well. Host very responsive! I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
