This review is absolutely the most over exaggerated and inaccurate review I have had with vrbo ever. I have been running short term remtals since 2018 and am a frequent traveler and drive to provide more than comfortable Accommodations with a plethora of amenities I would like to address these concerns the guest mentioned: 1. Location and views - yes the property is 2 mile from the main highway but tucked into the mountain for privacy yet at an elevation of 8018 feet the views are great and there are great views and the opportunity to see great sunsets (facing east ) and spectacular sunrises. The property has more aspen trees than most in the area and our Aspens are very large!! 2. There are power surge strips for guests to safely plug in devices should they choose to do so. The house was built prior to 1980 and the power surges are more for a precautionary safety concerns and to protect guests devices! 3. Check is at 4pm and I requested the guests eta since crew had prior commitment and the guests indicated they would arrive at 5 pm At 430 the crew finished and we were vacating the property when the guests arrived at 432pm. He texted sorry for the time mixed up due to coming from central time!! So he was early by 30 min. They were asked to back down and give us a few minutes to exit the driveway. 4. The comments about the cleaning: There have actually been no pets (prior to their two dogs) on the premises for about a year and a half so to say that there was dog hair is completely shocking. The property is clean and yes when you live in the mountains the floors have to be cleaned frequently. I was at the property for final inspection and can attest there was NO dog hair etc. I am not sure why appliances would be on the floor in the first place. 5. The upstairs bathroom cabinet was damaged and the new cabinet arrived and was installed a few days after this guest checked out 6. I’ve used SCHLAGE keypad door locks for over 10 years not once have I had anybody not be able to figure out how to use the keypad. If there was a key I’d be concerned these guests would lose it since they can’t figure out how a keypad works. I even gave them my code and when I returned both 4 digit codes worked just fine! On the other item like the screen door we purposely keep the screen open with a charge when we are carrying bags or groceries in and out, not sure how a screen door would be unsafe. All and all I feel that these people have never stayed in a mountain cabin It’s not modern, however it is clean with a new main nice bathroom: and the beds are great and the home is very cozy and clean and comfortable!!
