Publié le 9 août 2023 sur HomeAwayFire alarm constantly going off and had a hard time contacting property manager, when contacted related that she did not get my emails or phone calls, when person came over to check on the alarm worked on it and it stopped, but the alarm fell from the ceiling after he left. A better clarification of the rooms and location would help as there were no rooms on the main level only rooms upstairs and then in the basement.

Publié le 18 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had cameras on the outside which is normal, however 5 little cameras all over the house very invasive, one of which was in basement bathroom, no tv we had to use our own accounts to be able to watch tv, grass in yard very over grown which attracted lots of bugs, message host 4 or 5 times with no response, could not get into our vrbo for 45 mins due to ttlock system did not work, alao had no access to closets or garage, and remotes did not work

We take claims like this seriously and would like to clarify the items mentioned in your review:
-We have the utmost respect for our guests' privacy and by no means have any interior cameras that record audio or video
-It's typical for guests to sign in to their own streaming services when visiting the home. We have yet to receive a complaint of this nature
-Our yard maintenance contact fell behind on their duties, however, they came during the stay to rectify the issue
-We have high standards of hospitality but our records show our guest contact did not receive any communication from you during your stay. Generally, guests can count on Evolve to answer any questions related to a booking or pre-stay information, but we refer them to the guest contact for on-the-ground issues. We wish you would have followed up with us the owners or with our local property manager to notify us of the issue as the Evolve support team instructed you to do. Without notifying us or the local team, we weren't able to act on your concern and resolve any issue promptly
-We apologize for the issues you encountered when accessing the home. We understand the owner promptly responded and provided additional instructions along with a backup code
-All closets are accessible to guests throughout their stay. The only closet that is locked is the cleaner’s supply closet
-We’ve confirmed the listing does state that this property does not have garage access. We encourage guests to thoroughly review the listing before booking, to ensure they find the perfect vacation home for their needs
We have worked very hard to provide a clean and comfortable place for guests to enjoy and will continue to do all we can to provide the best possible stay for our guests!

The kitchen was missing a lot of essentials which was frustrating and we ended up having to rearrange the kitchen to make it actually functional. We also had to buy many kitchen utensils because the house didn’t have them. Toaster, cooking pot, cheese grater etc. When we arrived there were broken curtains that seemed like they were in the middle of being installed and were forgotten about before we arrived. The communication with the host was awful. We had major issues using the lock system on the house and for 3 weeks only one person in our family had the ability to access the house with the app. The host was awful at communicating with us which caused major problems through out our entire stay. It seemed as though the owner of the house was also terrible and communicating with the host which made for a bad experience for everyone. The house could have been cleaner but overall it was fine.

-We're truly sorry to hear that you didn't have the five-star experience we endeavor to provide our guests as we were in communication with you during your stay
-We strive to make our house as comfortable as possible for our guests. Nonetheless, you let us know of any concerns while you were in residence, and were happy to address them and took action immediately. We'd also like to clarify that our property manager was being respectful and considerate and stopped trying to receive a response from you. We always try to put ourselves in the guest's shoes and attempt to make their stay as comfortable as possible
-When you let us know about the toaster we replaced it as quickly as possible. We were happy to have that addressed right away while you were in residence
-After completing all of these tasks, we spoke with you and were under the impression that you were satisfied with the state of the unit. We encourage all guests to express any concerns or dissatisfaction during their stay so that we can cater to your needs appropriately. Additionally, due to your long stay, an additional/mid-stay cleaning was offered to which we received no word or response
-The kitchen contains basic supplies and glasses and silverware for the home occupancy. We took an accurate inventory of all of the kitchen items at the end of last year and confirmed there is a well-stocked amount of cookware including pots and pans
-We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the keys. It's customary for the primary party on the reservation to receive access plus one other person. We felt it was more than fair to compensate you and we gave out up to four keys for your group. Unfortunately, some guests forget to return the keys. To ensure efficiency we have to keep track of the keys distributed out

Publié le 12 juill. 2022 sur HomeAwayI should have read the reviews before we stayed. The property was not clean. The bathrooms and floors were dirty. The house was not well maintained.
The AC went out on us on day 2 and we communicated with the rental company and they said they would let the homeowner know and nothing happened. My husband and father in law thought it was frozen over (we couldn’t tell because it was locked up) so they found a space heater and thawed it out. We also changed the filter on the AC and it looked like it hadn’t been changed for years, absolutely disgusting.
There is an app that you are supposed to use to unlock the front door, but it doesn’t work, so you have to type in a 10 digit code every time you go in and out of the house.
No garage access. Lack of extra linens/towels at the property.

Once we were made aware of the AC, the issue was addressed immediately. After we did some inspection, we confirm that the furnace was not frozen over. The house runs on a smart system and we can understand how tech varies and may pose a learning curve. The management staff immediately assisted remotely to ensure the house was comfortable for the guests. We did follow up with your party but did not receive any response during the duration of your stay. We have very high standards for our property, and we are sorry that cleanliness issues impacted your stay. We’ve passed your feedback along to the homeowner who’s working with their cleaning service to make sure that future guests can have a five-star experience! Dirty home
Publié le 8 oct. 2020 sur HomeAwayThe location and size of the rental was perfect for our group, but this rental needs serious deep cleaning. Most surfaces have been spot cleaned but nowhere near enough to justify the cleaning fee. The house wasn't dusted; there was dust, little hairs, and little spiderwebs on the walls. The bathrooms all had dirt and grime in the corners and when I swept one of the bathrooms, I had a significant pile of dust bunnies. There were little curly black hairs in some of the towels (we rewashed all the towels our first day). The bathroom walls needed to be washed or repainted. The baseboards and the floor edges were all dirty, the carpets didn't look like they had been vacuumed recently, there was a dead mosquito smashed into the wall of the upstairs bathroom, a dead moth on the doorframe of one of the bedrooms, and a dead bee in one of the bedrooms. Some utensils in the kitchen drawers still had food on them and the kitchen cupboards were also dusty and grimy. There was dirt, hair and food between the couch cushions.

Great location, lots of space.
Publié le 28 août 2020 sur HomeAwayThe house was in a nice location and had lots of space for the whole family. There was some areas that needed more attention in cleaning, mostly floors and shower. Beds were very uncomfortable. The king bed has springs that compress all the way and offer no support. There were no additional linens or towels. It would be nice to have a few spares. Some of the kitchen cabinets need to have the tracks looked at and the dining table and chairs are very wobbly. Overall the house is decorated nicely and accommodated my family well.
