Pretty awesome property with so many great personal touches! The single rooms felt like an affordable art hotel and if you dig online and check the chalkboard there are recommendations for locals view of what’s good in Denver. A lot of care has been put into the bar and kitchen and I didn’t feel like it was inconvenient to have the kitchen next to the bar.
For safety it was fine for me especially considering there are so many lime scooters. Yes there are some poor people nearby but it’s pretty cool that Denver has a coalition for the homeless that has housing to break the cycle.
Expect some noise weekends but I was fine with silent mode on AirPods Pro! A scooter gets you to the cool rhino arts district and 15 minutes away to Colfax where the really nice immigrant food is if you want to get decent veggie food.
The only downside I felt was that whole there were some cool international guests if you have Americans staying there there are a lot of super right wing guys. Denver is popular with conservative Texans and Floridians and they live in an alternate reality and kept bashing Denver while subtly promoting Miami and Texas.
I loved that the transportation was easy- never had to rent a car the whole trip & Denver provides public bus rides to several resorts! Overall a total gem!
The property was very clean which I liked. There was a customer who was yelling really loudly at 6am which unfortunately woke most everyone up, but that was not the fault of the Hostel. The stay was great.
