Wonderful stay!
Publié le 31 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe rented the home for the month of January to be close to Bellaeyre Mt. It was an easy drive to the mountain every morning. The home easily accommodated our family of 6 and we would absolutely Vrbo this location again. There is not much in the area as far as restaurants so it was wonderful to have a fully functioning kitchen to make our dinners and breakfast. We explored Woodstock, Roxbury, and Prattsville (hiked here). Definitely family friendly.

Pros:
Clean, check in process easy. Binder on the table had pretty much all the info needed. Good location, 15 min from Belleayre which is why we chose this location. The place was stocked with a lot of things that I was very happy about. For example, dishwasher and laundry pods! Kitchen was fully functional and easy to use with lots of extras like a whisk, a crockpot, other great stuff.
Checkout process was good, towels put into the shower, take out the garbage, thermostat set to 55, all reasonable.
Cons:
Light in the bedroom downstairs was non-functional so that room was dark. Upstairs shower door didn't close all the way so water leaked out and had to be cleaned up every time someone showered. They advertised that there was firewood however the cabana only had a few pieces so we had to make a separate trip out to buy it. Also, there are mousetraps in there and that was not in the binder. When we went in it was dark and I almost stepped on one since we were going by flashlight. Water temperature on the lower side, water pressure on the lower side, however, it is a well system so they are limited in terms of their supply. The instructions said to put recyclables in a clear plastic bag but there were no clear plastic bags to be found.
The nest thermostat kept resetting the 68 degrees which was too cold for my kids. I increased it to 72 but it kept resetting to 68.

Great spot for a ski weekend
Publié le 25 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was a perfect place to stay for a family ski weekend. We skied at belleyre which was a 15 minute drive. We were less than 10 minutes from Roxbury which had a few super cute shops and restaurants. The house was comfortable and super clean. It felt new and fresh and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. We loved the mushroom area to store ski boots and coats. We would def be back!

Coffee on the deck in the morning was a perfect way to start the day! We loved it and would definitely come back! Thank you Esther!
