Welcome to the updated Pirate’s Cove in Depoe Bay! This stunning two story home sits on a large piece of land overlooking the Pacific Ocean! You’ll have amazing views from this beautiful rental no matter what time of year you visit! Enjoy the grounds of the home with a new hot tub installed in 2024 next to the new propane fire pit and patio furniture. The two queen beds downstairs have been updated with new 14’ Advanced Gel Memory Foam Mattresses. With five bedrooms and three and a half baths, up to seventeen guests can sleep here comfortably!

Head inside to your home away from home and check out the amenities Pirate’s Cove has to offer! A large living room offers plenty of space for you and your friends and family to rest and relax while taking in the sights and sounds wafting in from the water. Large, picturesque windows allow you to take in the view and sea air!

The full-size kitchen offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean while also offering everything you’ll need to whip up a special homemade meal, or to enjoy some take-out with so many seating options; inside at the large family dining table, the outside patio furniture by the cove or closer to the house with the new fire pit and patio set up next to the brand new hot tub!

This is also a great place to storm watch from many of the bedrooms, living room and kitchen! Flat screen TV’s throughout the house for those colder Oregon nights along with an array of teas to warm you up.

Each bathroom offers plenty of space to get ready for the day in. The primary bedroom offers a large tub for a relaxing bath and a walk-in shower, while the other two full-sized baths offer showers. The primary bedroom offers a king size bed, while the other bedrooms have a queen and twin upstairs,three bunk beds and a pullout couch in the downstairs living room along with the two other queen beds that have been updated for your comfort! You can mix and match in whatever way best suits you and your party’s needs! There is also a washer and dryer located at this rental, allowing you the freedom to pack light and wash clothing as you need it! There is also an elliptical for when that Oregon rain won’t let you get your exercise outside.

Beautiful view
The home had an incredible view from nearly all rooms. It was spacious and served very well. The proximity to the town was perfect, local stores were close for any needs you may have forgotten. The home was close to lovely walking trails to enjoy the ocean. The home itself could definitely use a little TLC, and have some more amenities to make it easier on guests. I’d recommend to bring extra towels for the hot tub, and toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The kitchen has some basics but if you’re planning to cook, consider bringing your comfort items. The carpets are really in need of replacing, but overall, it was a great experience. I would book it again for sure.

Upon arrival, I encountered problems locating the entry keys. I sent a msg to the host but to no response. I ended up calling the main number for the listing and they provided an entire different code for a different lock box that had a pair of emergency keys. We finally got in 30 minutes later. Once I stepped in I noticed lots of bug/mosquitos by all the windows. It would have been nice to have screens to open the windows without letting bugs in. I didn’t realize the dryer wasn’t working until I seen a not saying don’t use. Lots of stains on the walls and ceilings and several cups/glasses had lipstick stains on them.

Awesome view of seals
Very beautiful views and a very short walk to downtown and the towards the sea at the back. Very short and quick drive to the beach nearby. Saw sea lions on the rocks from the house. And the bionoculours in the house helped us see loads and loads of sea lions in the ocean. Had kids and friends and had a get together for new year eve. Had a blast.

No maintenance done in a long time!
The lights didn’t work, multiple bulbs burnt out. Hot tub broken. Fireplace broken. Maintenance showed up but couldn’t fix anything. Rotted front steps missing deck with door to no where. Dishes and small appliances dirty. Hats and socks found in couches. Furniture torn and broken. Amazing views!

Not as advertised. Entrance porch was rotten, chained off, and covered in blackberries. Stove was inoperable without looking up manual on internet. Called for assistance but never got a call back. Tv and stereo were inoperable. 6 of the “17” beds were bunkhouse style barracks in an exercise equipment room. This house has a broke down camp vibe and it is right off the major highway. Way too expensive for what you get. Would not stay here again.

The location was terrific. The views of the bay from the living room and large kitchen were amazing.
We didn’t care that the house was very dated, but a few things were frustrating and potentially dangerous. There was a nail in one of the dining room chairs that poked through and stabbed you when you sat. One of the living room chairs could tipped over when sat on it. The fireplace wouldn’t turn on, even following the directions left for us. The carpet was pretty badly stained and dirty if a sofa or chair was moved a bit. Aside from that, the beds were comfy and clean. Bathrooms were clean, showers were hot. Kitchen was better stocked from previous reviews but could still use some drinking glasses and skillets. We loved being able to hike around the coast line and also Depot Bay straight from the house. And the hot tub was nice.

We loved this place so much! It was one of the most places we’d stayed. We enjoyed the hot tub. The location was excellent, very closed to Downtown Depoe Bay. I will recommend this house for a big group.

Work/family trip
We loved our experience at Depot Bay. Beautiful location. We watched the whales, sea lions and birds daily. Great home for a large group to hang out together. Really a 4 bedroom with bunk beds near the garage with treadmill. Would recommend positively to anyone as long as they understand that.

A step back to 1999
This property has so many beds! It was perfect for our hoard of teens and young adults. Everything is extremely out dated. The outside of the house needs a pressure wash for sure. Mold, mildew, algae... its pretty bad. Paint chips on the deck, sun bleached doors and foggy windows. Majority of the beds and bedding pretty sure came from goodwill, or just been there that long. Which was perfect. Because everything is used and abused, it kept me from freaking out over popcorn fingers, or the kids plopping into the furniture. Inside was clean and ready for us. The stove is cracked and only 2 burners "kinda" work. But they have some ancient skillets that you can use. But you need to prop the cord just right to keep it on. Curtains are either destroyed plastic roll ups, or missing altogether. Do not count on the TV or stereo system. The fire place is out too, but it looks pretty! Hot tub is nice and works well. New fridge, New washer and dryers! This home was quirky and unique. Like an abandoned grandma's house. Old fixtures, random furniture, some new things mixed in to the old. We filled every bed, enjoyed the lack of screen time, and the view of the cove is beautiful! We will be back! Thank you!!

Basically Great
There were things that could be addressed (more towels, more kitchen supplies, more soap for longer stays...), but overall, it was really nice. The views couldn’t be beat. We saw bald eagles, seals, king waves, plus all the weather - wind, rain, hail, thunder and lightning and sun. There’s a nice trail that takes you on top of the rocks and around the bend to see all the ocean in its glory. The hot tub was divine. The house really worked well for all of us. My favorite part was probably the master bedroom. If you open the windows, the sea roars, and is the perfect white noise for sleeping. I look forward to our next stay.

Great location house needs some work
Walk in to the house to find the balcony unsafe to walk on...should disclose these things. Bedrooms should all have window coverings. Fireplace should have pilot lit before guests arrival I didnt want to mess with it. The location is beautiful, but for the price I think the mattresses and furniture could be upgraded and maintenance like to windows tracks filthy and algae on the house could be easily fixed. We did enjoy our stay and will look to book again next year!! No communication required with property manager.

It was a nice layout to stay with multiple families. It was clean (no dirt or sand) but there were multiple stains on the carpet that didn’t show any attempt of removal. One of the decks was deemed “unsafe” with a sticky note. For a three day stay it would have been nice to have a working dishwasher. If you plan on cooking and eating at the property bring ALL cookware, serving dishes and dishwashing tools you think you might need. The tub in the master bathroom was filled and the water had a green tiny to it (not sure if it was the water from the area or just the property). Are stay was during peak season and was NOT worth what we paid for it but looking at rates for a couple months later I wouldn’t mind rebooking now that I know what to expect.

Beautiful home
The house was perfect for our gathering of a large family. The view was amazing. I highly suggest that you ask for the Hot tub to be taken off sleep mode, because we were unable to use it until the second night. Lesson learned. Prime location between Newport and Lincoln City for easy access to activities.

Great experience - beautiful views
The house was perfect for our family. The children's bedroom was just what our kids wanted. The other bedrooms were wonderful and the kitchen and living room were big enough for our whole family. The view was spectacular. This house was everything we could have asked for. We love the area.

Overall the stay was very enjoyable. There are some maintenance issues that have to be taken care of. These have been mentioned in other reviews, but I will state them again. Maybe the owners will take care of them. The deck facing the ocean needs to be fixed so you can use it. It would be nice to have curtains on ALL the bedroom windows . The hot-tub needs to be looked at. For $7000 a week you would think all this should be taken care of. On the plus side we did get the new refrigerator (Kudos). We did have a lovely stay though enjoying the ocean views, the eagles, and whales outside our ocean windows.

The house was wonderful. The view was to die for. Loved that we got to see seals testing on the rocks. Would definitely stay there again.... just the fridge leaks a lot of water in the inside. The WiFi informative they gave us was wrong. It was in the back of the modem. Other than that. We luvd it. Kitchen has everything u need.
