Good quality hotel. Helpful staff, though before arriving I've sent several emails and none were replied. So, the transfer was not arranged. They tried to make it up for ir with un upgrade and a fruit basket, but we were already settled in a nice Merapi view room and the harm was done. However, they offer to take us to the city centre with their car. Other that incident, the stay was really good. The restaurant staff was great. The breakfast impressive (a lot of variety and impecable service). The room are spacious, clean and well equiped with everything plus balcony. The hotel is 10 metres from a mall which has everything you may need. However is a bit far from the city centre but not too far from the airport (when final approaching you can see to the left side of the plane) The pool and its area are both awesome. It's a big hotel, but well kept and with warm service.

Wonderful stay in Yogyakarta
Publié le 27 juill. 2024 sur HotelsVisiting Yogyakarta for the first time, I decided to stay at the Royal Ambarrukmo. I am glad I picked this hotel as it was a very comfortable stay with many great amenities. I utilized their fitness area, which had many options for weight training with the machines they had, including dumbbells. The staff was terrific, and I would say one of the best parts of my stay was the breakfast. Never have I seen so many options in a breakfast buffet. I maybe tried a tenth of what they had to offer, and I didn’t have room to try anymore. Make sure you don’t miss the breakfast to get your day started.

The Royal Ambarrukmo was originally built in the 1960s by President Sukarno. Its lobby contains one of the most beautiful and largest mosaics I have ever seen. This is but one of the many details that make this elegant, well laid out, and conveniently located hotel stand out. Rooms are large and well laid out. There's a great pool and children's pool. The restaurant and dining options are among the best of any hotel in Yogya. In short, though reasonably priced, this for me is one of Yogya's best hotels -- with a great staff and management in addition.

The Royal Ambarrukmo is one of my favorite hotels in Yogyakarta and, in fact, all of Indonesia. The staff and the (if I am not mistaken) Belgium-born hotel manager are welcoming, efficient, and always making sure you and your family are having a good time. The breakfasts are among the best in Yogyakarta, and the restaurant in general has a superb mix of Indonesian and European food -- all at a reasonable price. My wife and I regard this hotel as a true gem, and a hotel to which we hope to return many times.
