At check in did not receive King bed as advertised. With pet only had double queen available. I had to relate all information again: address, phone, email, etc. They only had name and account information. Difficulty understanding check in person due to accent.

The young lady checking me in was very nice & courteous. She was in the middle of something else when I arrived, but still acknowledged me & said she'd be with me in a moment. I wasn't in a hurry, so I was ok with that. She quickly got me checked in & when she saw where I was from, she asked specific questions about the area (not just general, time-filler questions). She's taking a trip to my area soon & wanted some info. The 2 gentlemen I saw the rest of my weekend were also very welcoming & courteous. They both always greeted me with a "Good morning, sir" or "Hello, sir" when I was leaving. This hotel was very clean & spacious. Breakfast was amazing! This will be my first choice the next time I'm in Des Moines!
