Awful, keep looking
Publié le 29 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayEntire building was under construction. There was a note in the listing, however I was not at all expecting it to be as bad as it was. No access to the beach view balcony attached to our unit. No access to the outdoor amenities (hot tub, pool, splash pad), then indoor hot tub was also not open and the indoor pool was closed for a little while too. The outdoor seating on the beach was not kept up with by the building. It was covered in sand. Now to the actual unit… because the construction will end.. the unit just sucks. Great location. That’s it. The carpet is gross feeling and had sharp things in it by the dinner table. My guest and I both stepped on something super sharp and had to make sure we wore our shoes inside the rest of the stay. The bed is a spring mattress and so uncomfortable. Four small pillows on a large king sized bed, and just sheets on the bed. The shower had hair in it from the previous guest. The AC needs to be updated majorly. It is so loud, and sounds like you’re going to take off to the moon in the middle of the night. When I found out about the construction having all of the amenities closed at once, I tried reaching out to the owners to see if I could get a refund or moved to another location and they were not understanding at all. Do not rent from VaCasa at all! Worst property management company ever.

DO NOT RENT
Publié le 29 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThe condo is TERRIBLE. It’s run-down. It’s dirty. The recliner that was one of the main reasons I rented this place is missing. The carpets feel grimy. There is a shower liner with no curtain. The fixtures are gross and rusting. Half the lamps don’t work. The boys had no bedding (thank goodness for Mimi’s blankets!) or pillows (thank goodness we had extra). Our bedding is a thin blanket and is not warm. Our bed feels like a pull-out sofa like the boys are in. A number of the slats are missing on the sliding door blind so I had to rig it so the sun wouldn’t rise in the boys’ faces. There was something brown and gross on one of the toilet seats that we didn’t notice until AFTER our immunocompromised child touched it. The main entrance is blocked off for construction so we had to back into the front to unload. The pool is closed for construction. It’s just all so disappointing. We paid $2,800 for this trip - and we ended up leaving this morning (instead of Tuesday) because we just couldn’t take the awful condo anymore. I hope we get at least a partial refund. Extremely disappointed.

Sundestin Stay

The ramp to the front door of the building was blocked due to construction, jackhammer and construction noise starting at 8:00 in the morning, bathtub drain partially blocked standing water while showering, a 6 inch diameter patch of paint on the bathtub ceiling is hanging loose, toilet seat in master bath was completely loose, 5 slats are missing from the vertical balcony blinds, the lighting in the bedroom was 2 lamps, only one had a bulb in it. The light switch on the bedroom wall did not turn on any lights, we had to walk through a dark bedroom to turn on the lamp, no overhead light. Multiple electrical outlets did not function, kitchen cabinet drawer only opens a short distance before hitting oven door handle, there was no instructions on how to operate TV and cable box, there was no recliner as pictured in the leasing website. The positive part of our stay was the fabulous view of the beach and ocean from our eighth-floor balcony.

Nice, but needs some work
Publié le 6 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall, this was a “nice” place, but we stayed over New Years Eve, and a lot of the amenities I thought were offered were closed for winter. We were in unit 807, and there were some less than acceptable parts about the condo in general, like having to open the oven door in order to use the one kitchen drawer with the cooking utensils (that was weird) Also, having two toilets basically next to each other was also odd, as was the landline telephone on the bedside table that was not connected to a wall jack.
My biggest struggle was finding someplace comfortable to relax. The bed was hard as a rock, as was the couch. The two swivel chairs were ok, but you can only sit straight up for so long IMO. Also, not having tv channels/cable service to watch the local news & only being able to “cast” from our phones less than desirable.
The view from the balcony was great standing next to the railing, but again, the outdoor chairs were not comfortable and they were short so to watch the waves, you had to look through the railing. Having a taller set like many of the other units had would have been a lot more enjoyable.
I was glad we went to check out the condo before heading to the grocery store as we needed to purchase hand soap for each bathroom/sink, and Kleenex. It was nice that bath towels, bed linens and toilet paper were supplied.
Everyone we had interactions with at the front desk was pleasant, and the building is located close to stores and restaurants.

Good potential but building needed repair and room needed cleaning

Plus various items, such as the hot tub and treadmill in the fitness centre did not work. Overall, the room was clean but the carpet, especially at the entrance to the balcony, was very dirty.
