Great location, but dirty house.
Publié le 20 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe location of the house, outside patio and the pool were great. However the carpet on the stairs had a musty smell and the house needs some major TLC. Also the sheets had hairs on them and there was mouse feces in one of the cabinets. Overall not a bad house but needs a deep cleaning.

Josh, I am so sorry you encountered cleaning issues while you were at the house. We had a temporary housekeeper clean before your stay. I wish I had known, I would have had her go back and clean any areas of concern. I take all reviews very seriously, making sure the house is clean and ready is a top priority. Please accept my apologies. I am glad you and your family enjoyed the pool and the location.

Home away from home

The house is cozy and beautiful, she pays attention to detail, having everything you need! The pool and outside spaces were relaxing. Close to the beach and restaurants! We would stay here again without hesitation! Thank you for a great week!

The best Fall getaway!!

The home was great!!! Perfect location, pool was amazing and really great deck and outdoor spaces too!!!
This house has it all! The owners were great to work with on renting and very responsive! We have already decided this is where we will book next year!

Relaxing pool and patios
Publié le 6 août 2024 sur HomeAwayOur second stay at 79 Matthew was another ideal vacation, with superb location and great amenities. There were some cleaning misses (we did NOT notice that last time) which we were able to overlook with fun pool time, time on the beach and walks to get ice cream. We enjoy this area of Destin and have had two great vacations in this house.

The house was well kept. It is walking distance to the beach. However the closest beach access only allows for about 25ft of public beach before you are trespassing on private property from the multiple private resorts. It made for very cramped beach days.

Hi Holly, I am very surprised and confused at the one star rating. You had told me that you and your family had a wonderful time and enjoyed your stay at the house. As you know, I let our guests know to set up early at the beach, it does tend to get a little crowded, especially during Spring Break. Henderson Beach is a minute or two down the beach, it is wide open. If guests want more room to spread out, it is a great option.

Birthday Week!

Dottie is quick to respond to all communication and very much wanted to make sure our stay was great! The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were very comfortable. For us, Henderson State Park was our beach of choice with the umbrella/chair set up. There are plenty of beach toys at the house and we left new beach chairs so don’t go shopping before you check out the supplies! Dottie’s place is so close to everything you need to make your stay perfect!!! We will definitely be back!

Relaxing
