The 3 bedroom 'Crystal Cottage' is located only a few steps from the white sandy beaches and emerald green water and boasts a private pool. From the wrap-around balcony, you'll enjoy the sounds of the Gulf of Mexico. You'll be just 500 FEET from the beach in this great beach house! 

You'll have lots of privacy in the upstairs master suite with vaulted ceiling and secluded sun porch. The open plan design of the lower level features lots of natural light, upscale, beach-themed decor and tasteful furnishings. The location and charm of Crystal Cottage can't be beat!

Area Attractions:

Crystal Beach is a terrific residential area, yet close to restaurants and activities in Destin. Walk to close by restaurants such as the award-winning 790 Inn on the Gulf or Camille's, get your fro-yo on at U-Twirl Frozen Yogurt, or learn how to ride the waves at All-A Board Surf School.  

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest!  Destin Commons also has a mini-train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop.

If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017.  Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Crystal Cottage
We recently stayed at the Crystal Cottage at Crystal Shores in Destin. It was an amazing place. Everything worked perfectly. The beds slept great and the pool was great to hang out in after being on the beach, which was a short walk away. The RealJoy team was super helpful from check in to check out and were very prompt in answering the few questions we had during our stay. I would definitely recommend staying there if you’re ever in the Destin area!

Close to beach but DIRTY
this place was so dirty when we checked in. None of the furniture matches. Grass wasn’t cut. Garden isn’t kept up with. The “repairs” in the house were horribly executed. Dead roaches in cabinets. Very frustrating to pay a cleaning fee and it’s not even clean on arrival. Would not recommend staying here.

Fun Place for a Family Vacation
The house has an awesome location and a great area. That being said, there were very few amenities for us to use. You will have to bring hand soap, coffee, pool towels, shampoo, and every other little thing you can think of. For the price you're paying, you would hope to have some of this readily available, but this may be something that is just considered the norm in Destin. Other than that, you will have a fun time with your family and enjoy being this close to the ocean!

Crystal Cottage Honeymoon!
Property was great! Plenty of linens, towels and most of all pillows as we all know how it it traveling and finding that right pillow. Everything was easy to find. Beach is just down the road and access to all the attractions was easy. Thank you for a great relaxing honeymoon week!

House is dated inside, mismatched furniture, baseboards look dirty. There was spaghetti stuck to the wall in the the kitchen. Outside in need of repairs. We pulled up, trash was sitting on the porch, bagged. Go inside, there is a dirty rag and a half used roll of toilet paper on the table- apparently someone didn't finish the cleaning job. Pool is NOT heated...so not able to use in October. Could be super cute, but needs some TLC. Location was decent. A positive note, the beds were all comfy.

House was cute and comfortable. The furnishings are worn and need updating. Because of that they didn't feel "clean" or "fresh". The pool was great. If a bit more updated, we would make this our go to rental.
