Well located hotel for a stay

Publié le 9 oct. 2024 sur HotelsThe housekeeping staff was very rude they were outside of my door vacuuming at 9:30 am and then just opened my door without knocking while I was in the bathroom at 11:30 am to see if I was checking out and that was after one other person knocked at the door at 11:28 am had already came to see if he could come and clean the room all along check out is at 12 noon I will not recommended this hotel nor will I return to this hotel I paid too much money to feel like I was being put out my Husband and I were very uncomfortable.

We do have a House person who does Vacuum the hallways on a daily basis. I'll speak with him to move that to after 9am. Our Housekeepers generally do wait until after Noon. Usually if something like that happens, a miscommunication as to whether or not you were checked out happens. We will address this with our staff.

When my friends and I went to check-in for our stay, after booking over a week and a half in advance of when we would be there, the hotel had my booking but had overbooked the rooms and we did not have a room. Nothing in the vicinity had any vacancy either. We ended up over 2 hours out of our way before finding anything else. As of right now the hotel has not reimbursed me since I "had a non-refundable room." I do not recommend booking this hotel and especially not through hotels.com.

We are never happy when we have no rooms and have to turn away a guest, especially on a busy weekend like October 5th was. We are in the process of reviewing what actually happened so that there was no room available by the time you got to us on Saturday. We try to not overbook our hotel but unfortunately it can happen. It is frustrating for us too and we try to let our guests know in advance and try to find alternate lodging for those affected.That didn't happen for you, and I am beyond mortified that it happened.First of all, we checked, and the money was immediately refunded to the MC on file. Every indication is that this was NOT a prepaid reservation so check with your Mastercard to see when the money will be returned to your account.Second, we are going over procedures to see what happened on our end to fix it for the future. And we are instituting new procedures to try to keep this from happening again. We know and appreciate that this doesn't help you with what happened here; but at least you will be responsible for making sure it doesn't happen again.We are, and I am, so very sorry that it did happen and hope to regain your trust at some later date.

Beautiful inside. Rooms were clean and bathrooms were clean and nice. Sadly, no free breakfast and no free wifi. Other than that would definitely stay again.

I'm a little confused as we do indeed serve a free hot breakfast daily from 6am to 10am. We also offer a free open-source WiFi to all of our guests. If you were experiencing problems with this next time, please tell us so we can fix any problems.

A lot of geese poop in parking lot and people smoking by the entrance

You are correct. We've tried to evict the geese or get them to use a litter box but so far they refuse. Seriously though, we try to stay on top of the geese as much as we can. As far as smoking, we are a smoke free inside and have a bench near the entrance or near the outside entrances for our guests to smoke. Thank you for your response and safe journeys.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was simple and efficient. Lobby and common areas were clean, as was my room. The fitness center was clean and functional, as well as bigger than at most chain hotels I've stayed with. Ther3 was an attendant for the free breakfast and it was better than most, featuring many options beyond cold cereal and toast or bagels. I would definitley staye here again.
