Publié le 22 mars 2024 sur HotelsWe had a very friendly and welcoming check in, but the room and amenities were very much not up to expectations. The “private” bathroom is not an en suite, but rather you have to go down the hallway.
The carpet was dirty and old, and my partner got bitten by some sort of bug that has made the bed its home.
The rooms are just above the pub kitchen so everything smells of cooked fat.

A lovely character stay but a few minor issues

Although the booking states breakfast included, be aware that is the continental element only and cooked food is charged extra. I personally didn’t mind but would have been a little disappointed if I planned to have a full breakfast. The room was lovely but the shower was only just warm and the pressure was poor. Again, I’m used to hit & miss facilities but had my wife been staying, she wouldn’t have been best pleased.
