サービスは良く清潔で、ダラムサラに来るときはよく利用しています。ただ今回は初めて真冬の滞在でしたが、ホットウォーターがあまり出ず、時間をかけてもぬるめのお湯がバケツ1杯程度しか出ませんでした。でも部屋にヒーターを入れてくれたので、シャワー後に暖まることが出来ました。

Nice hotel with good views of the mountains. Clean and tidy. A challenge to find as it was outside the town up a winding road. The restaurant was dissapointing because the service was very slow and there was no atmosphere, although the food was good. However it is within a 10min walk of the town which has plenty of nice restaurants.

Pour : The price was fine, room service and proximity to Iyengar Yoga Centre, great views from the restaurant
Contre : The room could be cleaner, specially the bedding.
Emplacement : 20 min walk to McLeod Ganj, 6 min walk to Iyengar Yoga Centre and a short walk to Bhagsu Nag
Good value for money. The hotel has great views but unfortunately my room didn't. The staff were helpful and the food was very good.
The room could be cleaner though.

Emplacement : ESTA UBICADO ENTRE MC LEOD GANJ, LA PARTE ALTA DE DHARAMSHALA, CERCA DE UNA DE LAS BAJADAS A BHAGSU Y DE LA CIMA DE ESA PARTE DE LAS MONTAÑAS KANGRA.
ESTANCIA DE DOS SEMANAS MUY AGRADABLE. EL HOTEL ESTABA EN RENOACION PERO TAMBIEN SE VEIA MUY VIEJO Y DESCUIDADO. SIN EMBARGO EL PERSONAL FUE EXCELENTE A PESAR DE QUE NO ENTENDIA TODO LO QUE NECESITABA SE ESFORZARON POR DAR LO MEJOR DE ELLOS MISMOS!

Pour : Nice view from dining room in the morning.
Dark room, view of garbage and 1/2 done construction from windows and big rip in curtains. Very rough, narrow road to front of hotel. Restaurant and room service OK. I only had breakfast there. Tables not clean. No salt and pepper on table or offered and the server had disappeared.
Bed comfortable. Clean linens and towels.

Peaceful retreat above city center

Contre : It is a shame that the hotel next door is under construction and quite busy/noisy; it is literally an arms distance from Greenwoods.
Emplacement : Hiking trails; Bhagsunag Waterfall; Dharamkot; McLeod Ganj city center all within a short walking distance; abundant animals and locals; hitch a ride
Greenwoods is higher up the McLeod hill on the way towards Dharamkot, rather than in the city center. Yet the location offers guests a peaceful and charming view of the valley below, surrounded by a forest full of animals and walking paths. If you expect luxury this is not your place; but comfort and solitude are easily found. Food options are excellent, and every dish I had (about 14 meals total) were delicious and sanitary and well priced. Ask for a valley view room; but honestly there's not a bad view around. Next door is another hotel (Ghandi's Paradise) which is under construction and is a bit of an eyesore and chaotic mess; but don't let it discourage you from a stay at Greenwood's. The hike up and down the mountain each day is not too strenuous and offers amazing encounters with monkeys, mules, dogs and natives. The Bhagsunag Waterfall is just a short hike down into the valley from the hotel; and there are shops and other cafes nearby. Wi-fi is offered, and hot water was always reliable. Just remember, in McLeod Ganj flushing toilet paper is not allowed; and most places do not provide tissue. So, be prepared and bring your own if you need it. This is a great place, at an affordable rate, offering refuge and breathtaking vistas of the lower Himalayan mountains and forest.
