Tired property - updated bathroom only.

Window in the bedroom could not be secured. Patio door looked like it hsd been broken into at some time in the past.

Hi Mary, we’re sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: -The property was built in 1971, and while some aspects may reflect its original design, the interior has been updated to enhance comfort. Unfortunately, structural changes to the layout are not feasible.-Regarding the window, it was recently inspected and confirmed to be latching properly. Additionally, the balcony door handle was replaced a month ago after it was damaged. The property is located on the second floor, and there are no indications of any security issues.-We understand that allergies can be challenging, and we recommend considering any necessary precautions to ensure your comfort during future stays.Our commitment to providing an exceptional stay remains steadfast, and we eagerly anticipate hosting many more satisfied guests.

Not as advertised

The locks and handles are woefully in need of repairs/replacement. The primary bedroom window, located on a heavily trafficked breezeway, is secured by a too short wood block that could easily be popped out while gone or asleep.
Balcony slider handle is very poorly rigged together with two inadequate screws, no internal latching mechanism, and requires decent upper body strength to open and close. There is a large wooden stick to place in the track for security.
Neither bright nor clean as advertised. Upon arrival the unit smelled of animals and had to be aired out, it was filthy - dirty/stained/stiff carpet, stained/soiled kitchen stools/dining seats and something splattered on kitchen cabinets but not wiped off.
The bathroom appears remodeled and is decent. The second floor balcony is relatively quiet, has numerous hummingbirds buzzing about to enjoy and the view is beautiful. The location of the unit is ideally located to attend concerts, enjoy recreation on the reservoir or the town of Dillon.
The local management company was professional and responsive but left with few options to make our stay better. The next management company was also very professional, responsive and as helpful as they possibly could be. VRBO hung up on me and was of no help.
This unit has a lot of potential if only the owners cared enough to invest a little money in the security/cleanliness and general upkeep.

Hi Wendy, the homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following details: - We use local, professional photographers to make sure that the listing photos correctly reflect the property, so the features you see on the listing are accurately advertised, and guests can decide before booking if the home meets their expectations.- The locks on the window do work. We also have a window block in place for additional security. We do apologize that the sliding door handle on the 2nd floor balcony was in fact broken. However, this has now been replaced. We wish you had reached out during your stay about this issue so we could have fixed it immediately.- We apologize that the stay fell short of your expectations. We genuinely love our property and our guests. - As you can see by our many great reviews, we are accustomed to providing five-star experiences, and we look forward to this property hosting many happy travelers!

Good, Bad, Ugly
Publié le 9 août 2024 sur HomeAwayBeautiful location and views. We were disappointed that the HOA entered the condo while we were not there to "clean the fireplace" (in August) without contacting us first. The door was left wide open with no one around.

Owner’s response: “Hi Von, we’re very sorry about this situation. You should have been notified by our property management company. They said they notified you, but unfortunately based on your feedback, it sounds like they did not reach you, so we sincerely apologize. The insurance company for the HOA requires annual fireplace inspections in the summer for safety reasons. We always do our best to communicate with all our guests and we apologize that this was not clearly communicated to you by the HOA. While we regret our home was not up to your expectations, we’re happy to share that our most recent guests reported no issues. We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have a wonderful stay!

Ski Trip

Moved Trip but was Never Completed
