Perfect break
Publié le 26 sept. 2021 sur HomeAwayKingfisher Nook was idyllic to say the least! Spotlessly clean, and a lovely welcome from the owner which included a vase of flowers, some cookies, and a personal message in scrabble letters on the fridge! Everything you need is provided for.
The views from the back of the cottage were superb.
We were blessed with wonderful weather which made the whole week even more perfect.
There are so many things to see and do in Suffolk - from beautiful beaches and quaint villages to stunning stately homes, and this cottage is fairly central to all. We would highly recommend this property.

A beautiful and peaceful bolt hole.

The location and views were beautiful and just what we needed to relax. Perfectly placed for the coast, Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge and Snape Maltings, with plenty of excellent places to eat and drink nearby.
Alice was a great host and we appreciated the welcome gifts too. We would definitely return.

Lovely rural retreat

Ideal for wildlife lovers we saw numerous types of birds including the nesting house martins plus rabbits and deer. There is a lovely walk to a very picturesque village and you are not too far from many attractions … we loved Bressingham gardens and Minsmere. An added bonus was being able to kayak on the river which runs at the bottom of the garden. A lovely peaceful break. Thankyou

Peaceful Haven
Publié le 4 oct. 2019 sur HomeAwayKingfisher Nook is a peaceful haven away from the stresses of everyday life. Beautifully clean and tastefully decorated, attached to the owner’s home but maintaining privacy. Would of loved to sit on the patio and admire the view but unfortunately the weather didn’t allow for this, but patio doors in the sitting room allowed you to see the view from the comfort of an armchair. Owner “Alice” very welcoming and helpful. Centrally placed for touring East Anglia. Local pubs etc serving food most of the week but Monday evening the local pub’s kitchen is currently closed. Overall “a little gem in a rural setting”.

Kingfisher Nook — perfection!
Publié le 30 sept. 2019 sur HomeAwayAfter 2 weeks on the road 5 nights at Kingfisher Nook were complete luxury and relaxation. Quiet location but close to the charming village of Hoxne with its pub and tea room. Kingfisher Nook was spacious beautifully decorated and wonderfully comfortable. Alice was a lovely host, we were welcomed with a home baked apple cake, and was helpful with local information. Enjoyed our own terrace with lovely view down to the river and a couple of beautiful sunsets. Would recommend as the perfect quiet getaway.

Perfect holiday retreat

Communications with Alice prior to our visit was easy and comprehensive, with quick responses.
Following the directions given meant that we were able to find the property easily and the numerous resources provided, meant that we could easily find our way around the many attractions in the area.
The property was spacious, clean, light, very well equipped and the amazing view, swing seat, patio seating, fairy lights, flowers and cream tea on arrival made us feel very relaxed and pampered in this luxury hideaway.
As we had our own transport ( and Google Maps on our phone) we were able to use this beautiful rural base to visit many areas in Norfolk and Suffolk.
We’d definitely recommend this property to everyone and are very grateful to Alice and Mike for such a wonderful stay

Little gem in the countryside!
Publié le 7 juill. 2019 sur HomeAwayKingfisher Nook is a cosy, comfortable cottage which contains all you need for your stay. The inside has been decorated&furnished to a high standard. The views are amazing as is the wildlife! There is fishing from the garden&bike rides and walks from the door. Plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area. The owners are very friendly&welcoming and cannot do enough to ensure you enjoy your holiday. They made us feel really welcome.
We would highly recommend this cottage as our 2 week stay was amazing. We didnt want to come home and will definitely return.
