Beautiful Mountain Getaway
My family and I stayed here while in town for a nearby wedding. Everything about staying here was perfect. The hosts were warm and welcoming and provided everything we needed and more for our stay. The property is absolutely breathtaking. The location was very close to Serre Vineyards (the wedding venue) and just a short drive from town. Our family will definitely be back in the future for more family vacations!

Long Weekend Getaway
Host was there when we arrived taking care of last minute things that needed attention and was communicated via text ahead of time. The property was easy to find and the house is well equipped for just about whatever you’d need, especially the kitchen. Pool area is nice and relaxing. There is plenty of sun and shade as you need it throughout the day. Biggest “issue” if you can even call it that, was the door leading to the deck/pool area needs adjusted badly. It was a constant struggle to open and shut the door, especially for the kids. House otherwise had its squeaky floors and doors like a lot of houses do. Overall, it was a nice stay for 4 nights

Utterly Amazing
Peaceful, gorgeous, idyllic natural surroundings. Amazing property with the most hospitable hosts. Perfect getaway for the entire family. Designed for festive gatherings and relaxation. Close to local sites. Thoroughly equipped with spectacular amenities. Owner/host pays close attention to every detail. Incredibly helpful and attentive. We experienced some serious car trouble, and the owner went above and beyond to assist us in every way imaginable. Will definitely return. Highly recommend unreservedly!!!

Beautiful property, house had cute touches of home! Fully stocked for all our needs. We did some day trips, but there’s enough at the home to keep you busy if you didn’t want to go anywhere. Kids loved the pool and game room!

Relaxing Get Away
We live 45 minutes away from this property and were interested in a spot a short distance from our home where we could relax and stay for a few days. The Dobson Get Away was perfect! We really enjoyed our three days and would have stayed an extra day or so if space had been available. The house is very clean and organized. Sally welcomes you with a tour and provides all the information you need to know for a pleasant stay. Everything you need is available to you and labeled so it is so easy to find. The mornings were very pleasant on the deck and Gazebo and we spent the afternoons floating in the pool. We enjoyed the game room especially the Pac Man and Corn Hole. We enjoyed the smores and appreciated the welcome gift. The view at the farm is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs in front of the barn. Our goal was to stay put and we were able to do so, however, if you want to plan activities from this location that would be fun too! We hope to return in the future for another visit!

Lovely home nestled in beautiful NC countryside
This restful retreat has everything you need to kick back and relax or serve as home base for fun day trips depending on your vacation style. We spent time in Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Lake Claytor, VA, and Mt Airy (Mayberry). We enjoyed wine tasting at local Shelton winery and our son enjoyed a round of 18 holes at friendly Cedarbrook Country Club. The home is the host family's homestead. It represents the heart and soul of the host family. The family room (sun porch) is stunning and a great place to gather in the evening. The pool is large and refreshing after a day of sightseeing. The kitchen has everything to assemble a gourmet meal or a cookout on the outdoor Blackstone grill. To top it all off all you need to bring is your swim suit and clothing.. Shampoo, shower wash, laundry detergent, dish soap, paper towels, trash bags, linens, and towels are all included. Love the coffee bar with choice of pods or drip coffee. Host Sally responds immediately with your questions. Sally and her family represent southern hospitality at its best! Thanks for sharing your beloved home with us!

The most beautiful home with the warmest welcome. There is not one thing that any guest would need. The host Sally & Jon have thought of EVERYTHING!!! The best deck with fire pit overlooking rolling farmland and a bonus hot tub and seasonal pool. A well designed game room for those young at heart to challenge a game of ping pong or corn hole. Plenty of room for sneaking off to a quiet space to read, nap or just relax. The master king bed is extremely comfortable with supportive pillows and a quiet back deck to escape and have a moment with nature. Easy secure access in and out. Located minutes from Mount Airy, Pilot Mountain and numerous wineries. It is a must see to grasp the absolute beauty in this hidden gem. The Dentons Pinetops NC

Great house!
This house and the land around it are beautiful. The house shows that allot of love has gone into it by this family. It is stocked with everything you could ever need to cook or entertain. The game room, pool, and hot tub are great. I have never been to another rental that offers half of what you will find here. The owners are genuinely invested to make your visit great. I can’t say enough ….to tell you how great this is ….you will love it.

Beautiful Area
So beautiful and very country side for weekend get away. Very open area for my children, especially I have a autism child to loves to jump and play around. The garage was a excellent idea for game room. We haven't play Mario in decades. The pin pong table was my 9 year old daughter favorite. Darts and cornhole was my favorite game to play. My autism son loves the pac-man arcade, that has the stick, he loved it. Plenty to play with my children. It was awesome for the New Years 2023. We had never stayed in a place that is well stock; toilet papers, paper towels, towels, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, etc.. WE LOVE IT. Definitely recommended for families to stay. Next time we will book more then weekend stay. Especially in the summer time. We love the jacuzzi, pool, and gazebo back yard. Very peaceful!!! Thanks for this experienced!!
