Publié le 10 août 2024 sur HotelsThe staff were friendly and really nice but even they could not make a silk purse from a sow’s ear. The hotel accommodation is very dated. Room 15 has issues with health and safety. Very narrow passage to the room door and a big brown obstacle was in the way. There is a very sudden change in floor levels with caused me to trip. And again in the night. It was cheap so can’t complain too much. The mattress offered zero support and you could feel every spring digging into you. Sink was cracked. It just wasn’t in pristine condition.

The hotel / pub wasn’t really that clean , could do with a new decor throughout , the room wasn’t that clean and also needed an up lift , curtains did not shut the light out and it was noisy , but it was ok just for somewhere to stay for the money , staff where brilliant though and the regulars where also welcoming that drank in the pub

No frills bed for the night
Publié le 3 juill. 2024 sur HotelsThe kitchen was down when I stayed but I was able to eat at a local Toby Carvery .The room had a shared bathroom but at the price I paid I was happy with that . The room was clean , the bed was comfortable . There were tea and coffee making facilities . I was bike packing and they locked the bike in an outside garage . Would recommend to bike packers

Staff very friendly and welcoming,room however was very dirty ,the kettle was disgusting on the inside and the milk was off.

Wouldn’t waste your money
Publié le 24 mai 2024 sur HotelsWouldn’t stay again! Room was dirty, outdated, mould in bathroom, skirting boards falling off, wallpaper peeling. The mattress was like lying on a back of rocks. The tap water comes out a weird milky colour even after running for a couple of minutes. Burns and stains on carpet. Place is just run down and needs a huge upgrade. Aimed at cheap contractors who rely on being pissed to sleep.
