WALK to Lake Michigan AND Saugatuck ~ Includes Bicycles!

Spotless and exceptionally charming, this home is located a very short (1 mile) walk or bike ride to Lake Michigan's Douglas Beach. 900 sq. ft. Two bedrooms. Two baths. Large private deck which is colorfully furnished, completely surrounded by pine trees and adorned with plants and flowers.

Saugatuck is the 'Art Coast', so we have decorated with original artwork in every room - pieces we have collected on travels to Australia and various countries in Africa and Asia.

Bonus! We own property on 'The Hill' in Saugatuck. Our renters are welcome to park there and walk the few blocks to downtown Saugatuck.

During the evening, come home and relax in your 6 person hot tub (May through October) while you watch the fireflies and listen to bell practice, provided by your next door neighbors at the beautiful Douglas Community Church.

Cozy Retreat
The property is just a short drive or bike ride to Douglas, Sagatuk and walking and biking trails. The unit was spotless with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a private patio and hot tub in the back which was a lovely surprise. The property host was very responsive to any questions I had. I highly recommend this vacation rental.

Overall we had a great stay. Positives: Super clean!! The backyard was beautiful and serene. We are 2 couples that were looking for a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom for our long weekend getaway near Saugatuck. This unit fit the bill. Less than positive: lack of communication. Texted the owner at 4:15 on the day of check in to ask for check in information. No response. Thankfully there was someone outside when we got to the duplex who asked the owner what the code was. She came back and told us. Homeowner eventually texted me code and wifi info. Code was wrong in the text. The beds were very comfortable; however the sheets in the Master were very worn.

Great place to stay!
We loved the house so much, we will definitely book again! It’s quite roomy for only being 900 sq feet, and the deck provides so much additional space. It’s cozy & comfy out on the deck and there is a hot tub to enjoy. Lots of seating also, nicely accommodating family that came over to see us. The kitchen has everything you could ever need, including every small appliances you can think of. I loved the master bedroom & en-suite bathroom, very spacious and a door wall that leads to the deck. It’s very clean, so I felt very comfortable there. The washer & dryer are definitely convenient, they even had detergent for us to use. The owner was very accommodating and gave us great service when we needed things. Do not hesitate, it’s a winner!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this duplex! It was very clean and had everything we needed! The deck was really nice! We spent our entire first evening outside on the deck. We even saw a deer. The two bedrooms and two full bathrooms were perfect for the two couples we had. We also liked that it was quiet and outside of all the busyness of Saugatuk. Douglas beach is just down the road and very nice! We will definitly try to stay here when we come back

So fortunate to find this treasure of a place. Very clean, beautifully landscaped, and the interior is decorated with very interesting artwork and furniture. But the back deck…well it is just PERFECT! Private, cute furniture, wonderful hot tub. We all enjoyed our stay immensely. Might turn into a yearly trip!!

This property was spotless and artfully decorated. Its location was so convenient to Saugatuck and Holland. The only thing we feel needs to be changed is the door to the garage does not lock from the inside. otherwise it was an excellent place to stay.

Wonderful Host and Amazing Place to Stay!
We came into town for a family wedding that was taking place in Holland and wanted to be close to Lake Michigan. Julianne was a wonderful host through whole stay! The rental was clean and decorated perfectly. There were bookshelves with so many interesting books for guests to look through and read. The location was an easy walk to the public access beach. Local restaurants and stores were very close. We would absolutely request to stay here again if we come back to this area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was clean and well taken care of. My favorite place was the back deck. Private with mature trees. I had difficulty each morning choosing which cozy seating area I would sip my coffee in. Beds were super comfy and the furnishings were very welcoming. We would definitely stay there again!

This review is for a two night stay by three women. We absolutely loved our stay here. The backyard deck and hot tub area were so inviting, we barely wanted to do anything else. However, we did find that the location provided easy-access to both Douglas and Saugatuck and we did venture out. We would stay here again!
