Thank you for your review. We are glad that you have enjoyed your stay. We mow the lawn regularly, but it grows very fast now with the nice weather we have had. Ticks are unfortunately all over Maine, especially in the woods so that's not something we can control easily. Thank you for staying at the Sebec Lake House!

Good communication, however, the guest was not going to be happy no matter what we helped with. We let the guest check in early, then received a message at midnight that the pull out couch had sheets missing and there were only 8 washcloths. We replied in 6 minutes, apologized and continued to reply after midnight that we will send cleaning company in the morning to bring the missing items. We provided the code to storage closet with extra items 7 minutes after midnight, not in the morning as guest claims. She stated WI-FI was not working, however, she wasn’t using the correct username and password which we sent to her before check-in. Then, guest complained that one ceiling fan doesn’t work, but she did not turn on the separate switch for it on the wall. Then, guest complained that one window blind has no strings to which we explained that it is a stringless blind. In the morning, guest said she didn’t have laundry detergent tabs since she must have wanted to do laundry 12 hours after check in so the cleaning company owner delivered the items herself that morning with some sweet treats as well. Even though there was no excuse why the items were missed, we got all of it for the guest in the morning. We refunded the guest the cleaning fee even though there were no issues with cleanliness of the place. We also got the dock installed earlier than usual so guests could use it. After check out, guest said more items were missing like colander, iron, extra blankets, and magazines. Our cleaning company checked and all items were in place so we sent pictures showing all of the items that the guest missed (extra comforter instead of blanket), but did not hear back. We don’t provide magazines either and it’s not mentioned on our listing. Cleaning company spend extra hours cleaning the house after check out as there were lots of kids who brought dirt and dry mud into the house, but we did not charge the guest any extra cleaning fees at all. The listing clearly states 4 queen beds, sleeper sofa, and twin+trundle. Kids love our place as seen in 100 reviews! We apologized for items missed, delivered them and refunded the fee, but the guest continued to look for anything she could find wrong which is unfortunate as enjoying the lake house would have probably been better use of the guest’s time. We pride ourselves on always responding promptly and immediately take care of unforeseen issues as shown in 100 of our reviews. Wish her better luck with other places.
