Amazing authentic place with great host!
Publié le 21 juin 2018 sur HotelsThis was a great place for a stay during our vacation in Cyprus. Our goal was to visit western Cyprus and we booked Palates Village Hotel only for 2 nights. We did regret afterwards that we have not booked for more days. The owner of the hotel is the family and they were super friendly and very nice people! The view from the hotel is great. The location is very authentic, you almost feel like you are in the movie scene... It is only 15 min drive to a beach in Polis, and max 30 min to Pafos, which has many sightseeing places. The owner of the hotel also have a nearby restaurant - the best moussaka I have ever tasted, with great local wine. To sum up, I would definitely recommend the hotel for a stay if would like to explore the Cyprus.

We spent 4 days at the hotel and after an awful check in experience my first impressions were very low. We arrived at the hotel at 3am after a delayed flight, thinking it would be no issue as they advertise a 24hour reception - this is not the case. We arrived to no one around, and after thirty minutes of ringing bells and knocking on doors I had to ring Expedia who were very helpful and phoned the owner who came to check us in. She was rude and argued with me about the date and time we were meant to be arriving, and then said she had waited until 1am and then decided to go as we probably weren’t going to turn up. At this point I hated the place and just wanted to go home.
The next morning we saw her again and she was much nicer and apologetic so we decided to give the place a second chance. The room was basic and the bed very uncomfortable, worst nights sleep ever.
The hotel itself is very nice, very quiet with nice views, and very clearly family run as there are few staff members around. It is out the way so you must hire a car. I’d recommend staying here for somewhere cheap, basic and peaceful - but if you have a late flight make sure they are aware beforehand as reception is not 24 hour.

Charming hotel in a cute little village.
Publié le 11 juin 2017 sur Expedia
Pour : It was charming, clean, peaceful, small with friendly staff.
Contre : The only thing I would suggest is that the breakfast be improved. I would also like to have a kettle in the room.
Sylvia and her husband (owners) were very friendly and helpful. We got to the hotel very late and Sylvia was there to help us to the room, probably very tired.
Small hotel with hardly any guests which felt strange but picked up on the weekend. I wondered why people wouldn't make this hotel there first choice. Perfect if you want to avoid busy, tourist areas. Very peaceful, quiet village, we sat on our balcony and could not hear a peep from anywhere, quite amazing, no cars etc.
Paphos is a very nice area too.
