September Trip

We went to a Penn State game Saturday night and it was very convenient to stay an hour away from State College, rather than driving 3.5 hours home. The house was clean, spacious and had all we needed. The kids really enjoyed the ping pong table, foosball, and air hockey. The house is located in a very nice neighborhood as well! We hope to come back again!

Great family gathering

Deer, black squirrels, fun.
Publié le 13 août 2024 sur HomeAway Having 2 refrigerators was a plus for our group of 12. Pictures shown are accurate. Prompt responses from owner. There were 2 issues I left the owner know I would be posting about in my review. One of the bedrooms doesn't have drapes/blinds/room darkening film, etc.. The other was the oven didn't work, plan on meals in a crockpot.

Thank you Marilyn for bringing the issues to my attention. To clarify for other people, the bedroom referenced has a cathedral ceiling, and has double hung windows which do have blinds. Above the double hung windows are ceiling height windows (the same as in the picture of the living room). The ceiling height windows do not have blinds. There is no outside view into the windows. The issue was that the person using the bedroom was disturbed by the motion sensor light on the front of the house being set off by deer during the night. I now advise people to just switch off the motion sensor light at bedtime if they are disturbed by the light. I cannot explain the issue that you experienced with the oven and am sorry that happened. The range is only 1 year old and I tested it for 3 hours with an oven thermometer after your stay. I checked the temperature every 10 minutes and it maintained a constant 350 degrees for the 3 hours. I am replacing the oven temperature sensor as a precaution since you said that the temperature fluctuated when you used it, so the issue should be resolved. Thank you again for bringing it to my attention.

Beautiful house, great host
Publié le 5 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property was nice, grandkids and all loved the wildlife that came to see us daily. Only downfall was that we all couldn't do all things together. Because we had a large family(12} we couldn't all go to the pool or beach together.
We also had 2 people on a paddleboat ask my grandkids why they were fishing because it is a catch and release lake..
Overall if this house was at another location would highly recommend it. Or if you have a smaller family.

Better Than Advertised!
Publié le 20 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayHad a wonderful stay. Treasure Lake was a lot of fun and this property was even better than it looked in the listing. Our group of 8 adults and 3 children fit very comfortably. We will definitely consider booking this house again.
