I prepaid for my stay, but upon arrival, the clerk told me she was worried because she didn't have any rooms left. I explained I had already paid for the room and it was guaranteed; she stated that there was a "housekeeping problem" and that they hadn't finished cleaning all the rooms that day. She said to give her a moment and she would double check, but that she wasn't sure she could get me the type of room I paid for... I waited for her to come back, and she seemed to have fixed the issue and told me she hoped I had no issue being on the 2nd floor. I told her it was not a problem, as I was just super exhausted since it was middle of the night and needed to sleep.
Upon entering the room, it seemed very bare. I realized it was missing the couch and refrigerator that I had paid for with my room type. There were also no pillow cases on the pillows, nor towels or washcloths in the room. I tried calling the front desk from my phone, since there was no phone in the room either. No answer.
At this point I was far too tired to deal with the issue and fell asleep since I had been driving so long.
This was one of the worst stays I've experienced, partially because the hotel clearly is allowing rooms to be oversold when they know they don't have adequate amenities or even clean rooms.
