This hotel is in a historical area, near the river, and the main transportation routes. There were areas outside and inside undergoing renovation, and the interior was wonderfully comfortable.
The parking was limited to street and a city garage a couple blocks' walk, but the validation was a breeze.
I was very pleased with the bedroom, and I find the housekeeping and front desk services to always be warm and assuring. I skipped any dining.
If you're looking for an urban setting near the water, not too loud but not boring, this is it. There is construction here and there, but there was a lot of cafe and dining options available nearby at a seemingly broad price range. I look forward to returning when my itinerary spells IA.

The staff was very nice & friendly. Loved the location - right next to Five Flags Center.
Only issued we had was the parking. They were working on the parking lot so had to park across the street in the city public parking. There was a fee to park there but the hotel validated our tickets so there was no charge.
Will totally stay there everytime I visit Dubuque! 😊👍
