Gatekeepers' cabin

The Cottage is a beautifully appointed facility with fire place, foxtel, CD player with large collection of CD's. Perfect for a couple wishing to spend a weekend or longer just enjoying the country landscape within the Scenic Rim or more actively engaging in watersports, horseriding, bush walking, mountain climbing, golf and so much more.
Located within a working beef cattle business of Dugandan Droughtmasters. There are horses and cattle grazing at all times in adjoining paddocks.
The Dugandan Pub is just 3 klms away for casual meals and a courtesy bus which for no charge will pick you up and drop you back should you decide to have a few drinks. Quality dining is available in town and at Austin House and at the nearby Karoomba Winery
A horse arena, round yard and horse paddocks are available for use by guests wishing to bring horses to the country for a change of scenery
Also available is sofa bed and stretchers or swag for an extra charge of $50 per couple which covers the laundering of extra linen & towels.

50th Wedding Anniversary Getaway
Enjoyed our stay at Gatekeepers. Very quiet, clean and perfect accomodation for our getaway enjoying the beautiful views across the valley. Loved sitting on the verandah whilst the bird life visited morning & evening and the horses reached out for a loving pat. I could watch the cattle grazing everyday (but then wait) adventure awaited in the faraway mountains with endless mountain streams running beneath the forest canopies a bushwalkers paradise. Thankyou Craig for allowing us to enjoy your piece of paradise.

The perfect escape
It was an absolute pleasure being surrounded by the beautiful Scenic Rim countryside and living in exceptional comfort at the Gatekeeper's cabin. We had all we needed for a relaxing and enjoying stay that was a real break away from city life. We were exceptionally grateful to bring our dog along on the trip, who love the environment just as much as we did.

What a cute farm stay, my daughter loved the horses and cattle. Great place if you are keen to disconnect. We would’ve been very happy with wifi as very limited phone service. A fantastic stay though, very enjoyable.

Pls put in some LED bulbs 13watt because the ceilings are so high. In the bedroom you wouldn’t know the light was on also in the bathroom dark,check at night. TV instructions for the star system needs to be available for guests. Left sliding front door very difficult to slide.

Needed to stay in this area for a motocross event. What a gem to find this place, was so refreshing to be in country for 2 nights while close to ammenities in Boonah. Lovely clean and comfy. Accomodating for our son providing a stretcher.

Great little cabin. Super clean and well appointed. Loved the wood burner which kept everywhere warm and cozy. Peaceful and really enjoyed the abundance of birdlife and watching the cows trot down the hill for breakfast. Thoroughly recommend.

Quiet country stay with lovely views.
This is a great place for a country stay with plenty of room, a lovely view and a comfy bed. If you enjoy a bit of animal/birdlife then you'll love this place. Cows and horses grazing in paddocks nearby, with bird feeders attracting a variety of local wildlife.

The property was roomy and very comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting on the patio and looking at the beautiful scenery all around, the castle, horses a lots of birds. We would recommend this property for a couple who are looking for a peaceful stay.
