Publié le 14 janv. 2025 sur HomeAwayMy partner and I loved the privacy of this location, and how little light and sound pollution there was! It was very cold in December while we were there, but there were blankets for us to use, and the bed was incredible comfortable. A wonderful stay!

Wonderful getaway weekend in Virginia Wine Country
Publié le 7 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayAbsolutely loved this Vrbo! Communication with the owner and non-contact access was a breeze (we checked in late at night without any problems). The location was well-stocked with everything you needed. We found the king bed very comfortable and loved the bathroom towels (felt like we were in a hotel with extra shampoo/conditioner/makeup hand towels). We did not cook but the kitchen had all the things you would need. Since we went just before Thanksgiving, it was chilly, but the heat worked well, and we were comfortable there. There were maps of the apple orchard walking trails which we did not get to use (we went hiking elsewhere nearby). We loved the proximity to the local wineries. We will definitely have to come back. It was a perfect getaway weekend spot. I highly recommend!

I'm sorry about the backwash on our water filter! When the power flickers off the time that's set for this sometimes resets. It's supposed to come on Wednesday afternoons at 3:00 pm. Thanks for letting me know so I can reset it! Otherwise, I hope you enjoyed your stay in our special corner of the mountains!

Relaxing Getaway
Publié le 3 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I went for weekend getaway and it was the perfect spot. Cider house was comfy and clean. We were fortunate to go during perfect weather and was able to open the garage to let the outside in, which was our favorite part. I'd advise to bring slippers as the floors do get cold. Was a wonderful stay, we will be back and highly recommend.

Fantastic Getaway

Diane was very responsive the multiple times I reached out. We loved the apple orchards…the apples were delicious. You can’t beat the stars at night. I loved being off the grid and it was a great time of family connection for us and our teenage boys. So glad there was no internet!

Publié le 10 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is a unique property in a very special location. It is remote but well worth the effort to get there. A perfect place for reflection in a very well-appointed property. I would highly recommend making the effort to explore this area.
We took a walk at dusk in the orchard and were greeted by several deer who were looking for apple drops. So picturesque. Lovely hiking trails on the property. Would come back in a heartbeat.

I'm delighted you enjoy some of the best aspects of the Cider House—walks around the farm, strolling in the orchard right outside the front door, and I hope also night time sky views. Come back in another season...they all have their charms!
