Nearly there but not quite 5 star

The only criticism I have is that the room had a couple of maintenance issues like a mouldy shower and a couple of missing tiles in the bathroom detracting from the 5 star experience. Dinner was overall enjoyable, however the menu can offer more local options and focus more on country cooking as one would expect from a country lodge. Breakfast was however excellent and the whiskey oats is always a favourite

The staff is incredibly friendly, professional and observant. Guy the kitchen Chef even arranged sourdough rye bread for breakfast for us.
The post-Covid out- and inside maintenance work has not gone unnoticed and added to the overall pleasant experience.
