I booked at Golden Gates years back, it went great! I recently booked again at GG because of my previous experience with them. Golden Gates again was a great experience. Staff were very nice and professional. My flight was rebooked and I needed to stay an extra night, the transition was very fast and easy. Stores are nearby to purchase any necessities. If I’m ever in Dumaguete again, I’ll be staying at Golden Gates without hesitation.

The advertising pictures look nice but once you are LOCKED IN and PAID for everything, you are committed. There is NO window per room. The first room smelled like urine and cigarettes and oh yeah, it just so happened that when I walked in the building, they started working on MAINTENANCE hammering on first floor. This means the loud hammering carries upstairs. But once you shut the door, since there is no window, it is not bad. They did transfer to a room that is clean and quiet but the smell of wet toilet or mold will bother your sensitive noise. Please use CLOROX to remove mold and urine odor. Rooms must be aired out.

NO WIFI !!!

Even though the hotel have already noticed the trouble with Wifi, the receptionist didn't inform it even when check-in. This was the only point which I was disappointed.
